Comment:
Bisonnette is a solid prof, but he tends to go off on tangents in lectures and can be hard to follow. Tests are very much textbook based so you have to do A LOT of reading and retain a lot of information.

My first ever semester at Queen's Commerce was thoroughly enhanced by Prof. Bissonette. He wrote the textbook (so READ it) and his lectures are extremely insightful. Classes are discussion based and full of "2 minute stretches". Be sure to participate so he can say you made a good comment!

One of the best professors at Smith. Overall great guy and he knows what he is talking about. Course was super relevant and engaging, great use of real life examples. This guy reads everyday so he knows whats happening and can talk about it like no tomorrow. Best part: YMCA examples and "Take a 2 minute stretch." BEST 401 professor by far.

His classroom discussions are a complete extension of the textbook since he wrote. He expects you to have read it and have a say. Capsim will be fun for 103 - but beware projects can pile up. Most people find this group to be the strongest group in first year for some reason. Exam was very trivial. The textbook was amazing and interactive

"Take a two-minute stretch". This guy is great. Recognises the course is an elective for most and always allows extensions. Will do anything to help you out. Really encouraging. Also offers a 'bonus-bump' if you go to all classes and hand in all assignments.

Excellent professor. Truly cares about his students and is passionate about the topic. Has real life experience in the non-profit sector, and wrote an excellent textbook used in the course. Though he talks about the YMCA a lot, you learn lot about the business world TODAY. Read the book, it is great for understanding the course.

Don't worry in the first week...it actually isn't that much work. For the exam, just memorize the slides. I do recommend putting a lot of effort into the presentation, even though it isn't worth a lot. It will set the stage for you reputation for the next 4 years...you want your peers to think you're smart so you'll have your pick of groupmates!

AWESOME CLASS! I loved going even though it was an 8:30. Bisonnette was an awesome professor to have in first semester of first year. One suggestion: Study for midterm and final with a group because it helps to catch things you forgot or missed and given the general nature of the course will help sort through everything.

Wonderful prof, really "into" it. His slides are hard to study from, a lot of it is mixed up jumps all over the place. There was very very little need for the textbook. Open family guy - CEO of the Y at Kingston. He's also very aware of the classroom - overall, I enjoyed his class.
