This was the worst class ever I honestly hated It and I usually like math. He does not offer extra help, repeats himself often instead of trying to rephrase to help, shows boring slides all of class, and puts everyone to sleep, Everyone in my class was doing bad.

Gary is nonchalant. He only takes attendance the first 2 weeks after that you just show up for the tests. He only gives you four tests,no homework assignments, or quizzes. But he is a okay professor to say the less. He taught me how to teach myself. I made the mistake of S/U this class and made a B. Just get a TUTOR that's all!

Gary (which is what you'll call him) is an acquired taste. The class, no matter what, is hard. I S/U'd immedaitely His lectures are sometimes unclear. His attitude is so nonchalant. You could show up to 4 classes (test days) the entire semester and he wouldn't care. I used the book to teach myself and struggled thru. It works if that's your style.

Brooks' class is very test heavy there are no quizzes, or other grades. Not the greatest at explaining things he mostly just does the problems on the board and expects you to understand the material. Only upside is that he uses a free online textbook.

I am not a math person but I do my work and expect help when I need it. I was struggling in professor Brooks' class and instead of giving me help when I asked for it, he automatically suggested that I drop the class. Talk about discouraging. Only take this class if math comes easily to you.

I thought Prof Brooks was a really nice, funny guy. I didn't have any troubles with his class, but math comes easily for me. I don't really have anything bad to say about him. Just pay attention. The homework isn't even mandatory, but it does help.

Mr. Brooks is a funny guy who wants the students to like him. He does not teach math very well. He is all over the place and confusing most of the time. No need to buy the book, just use the library copy for homework. That's what I did. It's a confusing subject but if you need help, definitely ask him because he will help.

Prof Brooks seems kind of insane at first but is a nice guy. He will help you out and the best thing is that he goes over stuff a MILLION times and goes over it slowly. He does teach a little fast but, math is not my strong suit.

Pretty nice class, nice guy. He's goofy so if you need a serious teacher I recommend you don't take him. He's constantly asking the class if you have any questions, so if you don't understand something, ASK! He tells you everything you need to know for the tests, and he doesn't officially assign homework. Study on your own to make sure you get it.

Took his summer stats class so I wouldn't have to take it during the school yr. One of the easiest classes I have ever taken, not one day of homework and aced all the tests without any outside effort. Never opened the book and only had 4 easy exams in 4 weeks. Highly suggest this class and teacher during the summer course!!

If you are taking this to meet your stats requirement, look into QMTH 205 with Dr. Morris.Brooks was unhelpful and just kept saying "the final" meaning, your final would replace your worst test grade. He kept at least 3 people from graduating in my section and he does not cover the material as he should, thus not teaching it for the exam.

The professor teaches statistics in the most convoluted way I've ever seen and I've taken stats in high school and psych stats. He doesn't seem to realize that it's a gen ed, intro level class and expects that you'll be able to devote all of your time to it. He methods seem to be setting you up for failure.
