This is not an easy class but it is not impossible either. While there is lots of material to memorize, gary is great at explaining it in class. He keeps track of attendance through in class questions. His tests are hard but all the material you need to know is laid out for you pretty well so you know what to expect. He is hilarious btw.

Psychopharm is one of the easier classes at Tulane. If you read the textbook and take notes in class you will get an A. Does require attendance as there are clicker quizzes and he tests on material outside of the reading that is presented in classes.

I hardly ever have 'great' experiences with professors but Dohanich is simply the man. Quick with funny stories, self-deprecating humor and witty comebacks, the guy knows how to keep lectures interesting. Super passionate about students' learning experience. Always available. Fair exams. Brilliant. Textbook not required due to thorough powerpoints.

Of course this class is going to be hard, what do you expect out of a 40006000 level course? With that said, this class is awesome. Super interesting subject, and Dohanich is a great professor. Tests are hard, but if you study the book, articles, posted videos, and take good notes, and participate in class clicker quizzes, you'll be fine.

He is a wonderful teacher. Go to class, pay attention, and his tests are not hard. He's very animated and really wants you to understand it. Very helpful and excited about teaching. Don't have to read the book at all, he tests from class material, and it's pretty easy when you just think about it. Great guy.

Dohanich is one of the best teachers I've had at Tulane! He's so nice and helpful. His lectures are great, and if you go to class the tests aren't so bad. You don't have to bother reading the book, since most of the material on tests is from class notes.

Dr. Dohanich said on the first day of this year's Psychopharm course: "You'll notice that my initials are 'GD,' this is because I am God. (pause) No I am not God"....but he's about as close as a person can get. Attendance is "mandatory" because people who would ever choose to skip his class must be crazy. I think the world of him.

Dohanich is an arrogant and condescending person. If you are pre-med and need to maintain your GPA, stay away. His material is not difficult, but he gets off on tricking people. His self-righteous and cranky attitude at every turn is an embarassment to his profession. As a lecturer, he seems generally apathetic to the success of his students.
