Gary is a really nice guy. He really love biology and likes when students take a genuine interest. He doesn't like people who don't show up to class and don't care about his class. As long as you show up and study for tests you should have no problem.

Gary is a good teacher. If you need help he will assist you any way he can. Final was long but he helps if you need it. He teaches through powerpoints. You really do not need the handouts as very little notes are actually taken, but by the end of the class you'll have an entire tree in your folder. He is a little odd but definitely a good teacher.

Gary is a good teacher because he really cares about what he's teaching. He's fun and funny in class; but he's not easy. His tests aren't easy and he grades hard on assignments and lab reports. Worth it though.

He's really passionate about the environment & getting the word out. Although I can't say the way he teaches is very well. I struggled a lot & he didn't really help. He's very very picky about homework & answers on tests. Nice guy but very tough on students.

Gary is very passionate about teaching and is thoroughly prepared for each lecture. The course is somewhat tough, and requires a fair amount of reading. But at the end of it all, you will be glad that you took this course even if you didn't ace it , because you learn so much! He is very knowledgeable!

I had the gary fairy for biology class and environmental perspectives. Sort of nice, but very anal. Doesn't really understand viewpoints different the his own. Also, says the word quad very strangely. It's hilarious!
