Comment:
Does not have any passion in the material he is teaching. Be prepared to know a little calculus to do population dynamic math questions. Not a very nice guy, especially when it comes to making up a missed test or quiz. Tests are difficult and often includes questions that do not coincide with powerpoints.

Seems like he doesn't even want to teach. He reads, in a monotone voice, right off the slides. The tests don't test your knowledge of the material but your ability to remember the little nit picky things off the slides. Very vague in his tests questions and what I dont understand is he's teaching the most awesome topic ever.

He's kind of quiet and monotone so it's a little difficult to not space out sometimes, but the actual material is pretty easy. The only thing is that his tests happen later on than other classes so there's more material per test.

One right answer on the final exam away from getting a C. He marked one answer wrong on the final that he marked correct on a previous test. He did not budge once I pointed this out, but he did offer to lower my grade after I pointed out his mistake. RREEAAALLLL helpful, not!

Tests are straight from the powerpoints (which are posted Blackboard). Unfortunately, the exams are nit picky and you basically need to study everything from the lectures. His lectures are quite boring so be sure you have a way to stay awake.

Okay if you are not in Wildlife and you don't hunt, don't take this class. Pulls all these examples and asks about all of them on the test, be ready to memorize 20 different examples about birds and be ready for tricky questions.

Very good class. I enjoyed it a lot. Dr. Hepp knows his stuff especially when it comes to Wood Ducks. Pretty cool guy to talk to if you get a chance. IF you are a wild major you have to talk him but a good one to have.
