Took him last fall, he makes the class intimidating when reviewing the syallabus but the reality is if you do what he says you'll pass. Expect group projects, with lengthy study guide ESSAY questions that you must turn in. But all the info is in his powerpoints. Let's you redo test questions that are wrong on the first two exams.

Hard to enjoy the class in the beginning. His class seems impossible to learn for the first 2 weeks, but it gets easier and easier. Test revisions helps. He is not a hard grader. Not hard to get an A.

Patterson MGM230, a lot of information but not hard material. If you go to class/ take notes, you will pass! Group project is simple, divided into small parts ands simple work. Tests can be open note, straight forward, nothing tricky! He is funny and tells stories, uses personal examples. He can get a little confusing with the lectures. SHOW UP!

My advice would be to attend class and take good notes. Type the notes during class so you catch everything. No pwpts, he just talks. Record if you need it. Take good notes. Hate group work? You'll be doing group work in this class. In fact, the final is a group final. FYI, He assigns the groups. If you're lazy, you won't pass.

There aren't any power points and he just sits and talks at an incomprehensible rate. I would rate him as the worst professor here at CSUSB and that's something considering I attended Christine Dias's class for Anthro 140. I recommend taking another professor cause professor Patterson is terrible

Very interesting lectures. Very nice & generous professor. The key is taking good notes, record the lectures if necessary to fill in gaps you might have missed. Case Briefs, Research Paper, Group Essay Questions for both tests, Take home Final, 2 tests & improvements allowed.

His lectures are a bit dull but helpful if you don't want to read the book. My note taking goes to 5-pages by the end of the class. Revisions of exams. Research paper was easy. The take-home final was an essay but easy. It seems a lot of work, but if you do all, you will pass. Choose a good group for the study guides!

profferson Patterson is an excellent professor he knows the topic and he lectures by speaking. He doesnt use writing nor powerpoints alot of easy work and you learning is guaranteed. I recommend Patterson for 330 and any other class he teaches

Great professor, make sure to take good notes and listen to what he repeats , hint it will be on the midterm and final. Make sure to attend all classes and go to his office hours with questions, he is willing to help the students but he wont respond right away to emails.

He knows his stuff. Very current on issues regarding the Law. Barry White voice so record him. It comes in clear. He requires note taking during class. Don't bother to buy the book if you can. Enjoy his lectures. Very good lecturer.

Very nice professor. Will talk all the way through & will tell funny stories. Pay attention to all he says. Type notes in class if poss. He talks very fast but type everything. You can redo exams for makeup credit. Looks like a lot of work but its not. Didn't buy book, mostly everything on test from lecture, but will need to google some things.

He really likes to talk. Pay close attention to the things that he rambles about and take good notes and you'll do fine. Lets you make up missed problems on exams as long as you can explain where you went wrong. Overall decent class but like I said PAY ATTENTION TO THE RAMBLES !!

On paper the class looks like a lot of work. But just do all the work assigned, take notes and study. You will forsure get an A if you just do all thats required. He grades more on you turning something in rather than how muh you know about business law. He is a great law professor. I highly reccommend you take him.

Patterson is the best! Don't let him, or the comments below, scare you into not taking one of his classes. Your grade is based on exams, a research project, some case briefs, and notes if he calls on you. If you do all the work, you won't fail the class. :) Took him for 230 as well, he's great! Lectures are kind of boring but you need the notes!
