Gary Reker was my thesis supervisor in my 4th yr at Trent. With an MA from U of T and an LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School, I must say, Gary Reker is the BEST of all 3 supervisors I've had!! He was hard and had high expectations, but met with me every single week, was very clear, and pushed me to my best of abilities! Love him!

Prof Reker was very approachable outside of class hours. He does expect his students to work hard, and so long as you attended his lectures, and were prepared for class, it was relatively easy to do well in his class - but you had to work at it.

Psychometrics is an interesting subject, though it canbe hard to tell with him. He knows his stuff, which helps, but he gets boring. Do like the upfront lecture notes but not enough to help if you were sick. Elaborates too much on specific tests and not gen. concepts which are transferable knowledge

Nice guy. He explains the material very well and is receptive to questions in class. Doing the mini lab reports really helped me understand the material more. Very organized class. Don't miss lectures if you want to do well.

His lectures are easy to follow and clear, and he doesn't seem to mind answering appropriate questions during lecture(do not ask for a 215 review, he expects it to be known). Not the most approachable prof outside of lectures.

Very patronizing to women but calms down a little after he sees your marks. Gives lab instructions out little by little during each class so if you have the misfortune to be sick for a class you are sunk, even if you ask about missed info...
