This professor is horrible. Do not take him. He s very boring. The lectures are a drag. He makes you feel dum when you raise your hand and participate. I will never recommend him to any incoming student ever!

take this class if you're considering to become a true professional who knows staff! Prof. Testa is an amazing person. He is VERY knowledgeable. I always had 1000 questions and he was answering all of them in the most polite and patient way. There are 3 exams, no written homework, no quizzes, extra credit project. Final is an open book

Comment:

Great professor who genuinely cares about his students doing well. He gives fair homework and material-heavy exams but if you know the material the exams are not so tough. He curves to make his class even more doable. You'll really come out of the class knowing the material.

If Accounting is your major and you are really willing to learn, then dont think a second, take Prof. Testas classes, and you wont regret it! HE points the main things in the chapter; YOU need to read the textbook, come to class on time, and practice the home works. Stress-free course; Exams (2 + Final; MC, T/F, and Problems) Highly recommend!!!

Professor Testa will teach you what real world accounting is like in the most entertaining way possible. For example, he made us write out a statement of cash flows for our cash flow exam. Also, he accommodated my busy schedule twice! If you could solve the long exercises without any bumps on the road, you should be able to take his tests!

Professor Testa is fantastic, charming and funny. However, I never put this much effort into a course like I did for managerial accounting. Do not make the mistake and think you could transcend these reviews. Save yourself the stress and time by taking someone easier. At the same time, he is probably the smartest person you will ever meet!

Prof Testa is a nice wonderful man, he really is. But I do not agree with his teaching style. Read and study the textbook otherwise you will not pass. He doesn't do much to keep interest on the topic. Exams are extremely difficult with the way he teaches. I do not recommend this professor.

Comment:

Funny guy and his lectures were interesting, but he asks the hardest possible questions he can on exams. Goes over easy problems in class, then test questions require different methods and extra steps to get the answer. How do I get a 90 and an 80 on the first two exams, and then end up with a C+ average? This class was torture, find another prof.

There is 1 Quiz (feels like an exam rather than a quiz) , 1 Midterm, and 1 Final. The quiz is easier since we spend a few weeks on just that one topic (Cash Flows). As for both the Midterm/Final, I don't believe the lectures will prepare you for them. I used outside sources to pass his class. Even with the curves, HALF the class failed.

The lecture is confusing. he knows the stuff but he doesn't explain it well. You have to read and figure it out by yourself, and the material is pretty tough. There is one exam one midterm and one final. he gives curves but i won't recommend him.

Professor Testa is really nice (& funny) and totally not as scary as others make him out to be! His exams are a bit challenging, but his lectures and homeworks do prepare you for them! I kept up with the textbook readings and found his lectures very clear and understandable.
