Oh Tuttle... - Amazing at lectures, his material is gold - He is nitpicky about attendance, don't be late - Homework is not an easy 100%, it is a lot and it is challenging, double check your answers, this will either pull up or down your grade - He will get caught up in the math, go too theorical and become dull sometimes

He's probably the best professor that I have ever had in terms of how well and clearly he explained things. There are quizzes almost every lecture but it helps with the understanding of the material. That being said he does have some issues with returning grades in a timely fashion.

Dr Tuttle is the best professor i've had, and i'm not even a EE. His lectures were extremely helpful, and his notes were also great. You are expected to work, but his way of teaching, and the way his class is organized really makes you learn his stuff. Also extremely helpful during his office hours. Favorite professor I've had.

The quizzes weren't too bad, but often the homeworks were a slog in the mud; you'd go for help to his office hours and half the time he completely missed them. Will interrupt lecture and loudly remark if one person walks in late or talks to somebody else.

Tuttle is a great teacher and explains things very well in lecture. He does not require a textbook, and I did not use it the whole semester, as his slides posted online are very thorough. Quizzes Monday and Wednesday. Reasonably challenging homework due Friday. He is respected and has a dry sense of humor which was entertaining.

If you show up late for class, he stops presenting and stares at you until you sit down, then loudly comments on your lateness. Mon/Wed pop quiz; Friday HW is due. HW questions are much more difficult than lecture notes. Lab is extremely long. He has a tendency to present rather than teach. His exams are extremely easy.

One of the best teachers at Iowa State. He makes high quality lecture slides that have good content. If you learn from him and his lecture slides, you will have the knowledge to land a good job once you graduate. I honestly think he should start teaching other professors on how they can be more effective. I never did get my homework back though....

There was a quiz every monday and wednesday but the quizzes were fairly easy. They were very helpful for staying caught up in the class. He is a really good lecturer and will call out students who disrespect him or the class. If you are here to learn, take Tuttle.

The professor explains concepts very clearly. To help us fully understand concepts, we had two quizzes every week along with a weekly homework. His sarcasm makes every lecture fun to attend.

He doesn't take disrespect from anyone. You are there to learn so if you are bothering the class he will call you out. Keeps class light with jokes and is very straight forward in what you need to accomplish to pass the class.

GT is the man - you really want to take EE230 with him. He is the reason I understand basics, theory, and applications for diodes/transistors/amplifiers/etc. Don't let someone persuade you otherwise, his classes are extremely useful in the real world. He is really involved with the curriculum board and making sure everyone is on the same page.

GT is easily my favorite ECpE professor and always will be. After taken 201, 230, and now 333X with him - there isn't anyone better. He teaches the material at a level you can understand it, which is great for the introductory courses when things are new. The weekly quizzes are awesome because it forces you to learn and retain material for exams.

Tuttle truly cares about the material he teaches and the technical development of his students. I have used him multiple times as a resource for help in both 201 and some of my other classes. He even has a couple of clubs outside of class. His classes aren't a breeze but if you utilize all the help he gives, they're not bad at all.
