Comment:

She is incredibly boring. Her lecture consists of showing a sheet of typed notes on an overhead that run together and are incomprehensible. She doesn't respond to emails- at all. Tests and study guides are unclear. Attendance is mandatory and she hands the list out to be signed 5 min before class ends making everyone late to the next class.

If you are not a social work major I would suggest not taking this class. She is really nice and will help you as much as possible but if you are not interested in social work it is really a waste of time and quite useless. Oh and yea its boring.

Did NOT like this class at all. Class was super boring and she takes attendance everytime. Tests are unclear. Talks non stop. Not very helpful, I would email and she would snap back and tell me to talk to the TA cause she didn't want to deal with it. Overall, I did not enjoy this class one single bit.

She is a sweet lady, and obviously passionate about this topic, however this class is quite a bore. I don't recommend taking this class unless you have to. Pay attention in class and while she goes over the practice quizes. You never know what to expect for the tests and the questions are worded confusingly. Ask her for help if you need it.

Don't do it!! Attendance is mandatory & class is BORING! It's extremely UNCLEAR what material you'll be tested on. Even the study guides she posts don't tell you anything!! Class never lets out early & she talks for 3 hours straight. Nobody ever knows what to write down for notes. It's all about public policy, code of ethics, & social welfare.

Policy analysis is difficult in itself but Prof. Jordan does a great job of getting you through it. Assignments can be somewhat confusing so make sure to go to her if you need help. She gives helpful feedback and genuinely wants to see her students excel.

Very sweet older lady who is highly passionate about what she does. Class can be a bit boring at times but what class isn't. Attendance is a must. She is flexible. Show up and you will do well. Book isn't a must

Fabulous! I enjoyed her and her class so much that I didn't mind the required attendance, I actually wanted to go! The book is not a priority, make a class friend to share w/. 3 tests and one final- major curve!! Talk to her one on one and participate in class, shes on the commitee for upper division for you SW majors. Join the BSW club too!

Ms. Jordan is a great professor! Don't buy the book unless you're a SW major- she uses it once in a while to show you charts in the book. Always takes attendance. Tests are moderate, HUGE curve. She is an incredible teacher, very passionate and knowledgeable. SW majors will want to be in her class!! :)

Easy course. She is nice and helpful, but very boring. Always dreaded going to class. But assignments and tests were easy. She takes attendance everyday. Allows about 2 abscenses before points are deducted. Besides, the boring class, it was EASY and you can definetely do well in her class.

She treats this class as if you are MAJORING in social work, if you are looking for an elective DO NOT take this class. There are two papers and one of them has to be some agency visit day. Social work majors might enjoy her though.
