This class is pretty easy for a graduate student. I got an A. You have to attend every single class and find yourself good teammates (there are two group assignments and a group presentation). Two in-class essays (open notes) and a final. 5 points extra if you revised it. You can earn extra credits if you attend the writing workshops on fri.

Took it online...not the toughest teacher...just know what she is looking for when she is grading your papers...learned that the hard way...keep examples of everything you write for your final because it is open notes.

Dead on easy. Either I'm a writing genius or everyone giving bad marks are just not giving much of an effort. It's likely the latter because even my friend who can't write to save his life got a B. She gives a lot of chances for extra credit but there are LOTS of assignments. Just turn in everything on time.

Took this online and it was horrible! She is so unorganized, not at all helpful, and she gives you horrible grades and can't explain to you why. Avoid at all costs. I am a straigh A student and I barely managed a B, but still, no idea why I did so bad.

I took the class online. She was extremely unorganized. It was nearly impossible to follow the instructions or due dates because they were split up between mulitiple locations throughout blackboard. I would avoid this teacher at any cost.

She is confusing and not very helpful. Read the examples on blackboard, print them out, and bring them to the exams to follow the format. I got an A, but only because I am a pretty decent writer. If you are not, she will be very difficult. Also, the book is pretty useless. I never opened it. Good luck!

She is hard. If you don't want to waste your time attending the lectures, take her instead. It'd be such a waste to spend 3 hours in class because at the end you won't learn anything. Don't be put off if she criticizes your English (even if English is your native language). Goodluck guy!!!

Professor Vogt makes her assignments very clear & tests are open note. She gives students worksheets on SPECIFIC information for the type of memo/letter etc. The class is easy to pass, and about 85% of the work is done in class (except for the big report all 301 classes must do). You will learn a lot.

I thought this class was fairly easy (I took it online). You do need to be disciplined, however, and make sure that all assignments are done on time. Ask for clairification on anything you don't understand - and make sure you save the emails that you send her!

I took the online class. It was a fairly easy class. You have to be diciplined and turn in your assignments on time. Her feedback is confusing and if you ask for help she wont give it via email which is strange for an online class. I would recommend it.

She's one of the hardest teacher that I've ever had. I do agree with an earlier comment. She does criticize you for not writing the correct English. I have to work full time and I wanted to talk to her about my paper, but she refuse to bend her schedule even though in her syllabus says that she would. It's too late for me. DON'T TAKE HER

Very unfair and does not care! I took BUAD 301 online and registered late and did not make her instructions clear after emailing her constantly! I recieved a C- and was off of passing the class by 15 points. UNFAIR TEACHER

She is not helpful at all. I took her class online and she is unwilling to setup any sort of meeting outside of office hours (even though her syllabus says she will). She grades very hard. Assignments are due at noon to her email. 12:01 and they are late. If you can work well on your own and normally get an A in writing expect a B or C

Her comments are more critical than helpful. If you ask her for clarity, she would refer you to her previous ambiguous notes / syllabus. Then she would criticize that you cannot comprehend English. Her grading is last-minute, with little or none explanation how's that grading is derived. She can ruin your life, your GPA's you work so hard for.

She is a Dr. but she's no PROFESSOR! You'll only learn what you're doing wrong. Book is old and useless. Assignments are short and simple but gives unclear expectations. Grading is unpredictable and seems to be on a bell curve. A's and B's cannot be earned, its seems to be on the class average. Your GPA may suffer as a result.

Comment:

Dr. Vogt posts the schedule and syllabus before the class even begins. The class is very organized and doesn't have too much work. Most assignments are 1-page with a 2-3 page proposal. If you are a good writer then this class is for you. If you need a lot of instruction do NOT take the online class.
