Fong is a fantastic prof. I took this class 3 years ago and still remember most of the concepts. He makes it so clear and memorable by using great examples (Bobo doll!). Go to lectures, READ the textbook, and it will be easy to get good marks.

Comment:

Fong's pretty good. He has a weird sense of humour that was entertaining. His lectures go by mercilessly fast, so stay on your toes. There's a lot of content so the class is naturally hard, but his tests were very forgiving. The only critique I can say about him is that he's kinda snobbish and isnt afraid to shoot down stupid questions in class

Oh Fong. This guy gets a bad rap sometimes, but he's a very fair guy. He's not a great lecturer, but he is SO helpful with midterms and exams. He basically gives you the answers, so if you take the time to memorize that you'll kill the class. If you want a good mark (and have to take PSYCH) take him. If you're after actual learning... go elsewhere.

One of my favourite professors. Excellent at making the material sink in. Interesting class even though it was at 8:30 in the morning in a crowded amphitheatre. There is a lot of reading (the entire 1000 page textbook), but I found that it wasn't tedious at all. Easy to do well if you put in the effort (even if you're an "Average Joe").

Awesome guy, he really knows his stuff. Very eager to help out students in need, going so far as to give 'Second Chance' midterms. Gave plenty of helpful review questions before miderms and exams.

He is really good at explaining everything in his lectures. Definitely take him over Ennis unless your really good at multiple choice. Fong gives you every chance to get an amazing mark in his class if you just put a little time into it.

Prof Fong is a very good teacher, very clear in his explanations, quite funny and kind as well. i only wish his lectures were d same as d textbook material but he helps us understand it as much as possible. hes also effortful nd i suprisinly have interest in psych now!

Professor Fong is a good professor. However, staying awake in his 8:30 class is almost impossible! You can get a high mark with him if you have an interest in this course and do all the readings. Unlike me I hate this course and fall asleep in all his lectures. Suprisingly perky guy in the morning.

If you can stay awake at 8:30, definitely a recommended course. The lectures are usually interesting and he tries very hard to help you succeed. The textbook readings are parallel to the course, in that you read them on your own and are tested on it separately from the his lecture materials. So go to lectures and keep up with the readings!

Easy course. Just keep on top of the readings... let me put it like this; Because he was such a great teacher - I never studied his lectures. I got like in the 60s on every multiple choice section of the tests but finished the course with a mid 90 because I always aced his short answer (lecture stuff) & assignments + bonus marks. Great Prof!!!

Definately NOT a bird course! The only reason I passed was because of this prof. If you're not interested in the course but have to take it, try your hardest to get Fong- he's interesting and goes out of his way to help you for exams.

He was on Jeopardy once hehe. Fun class to attend - way too early in the morning - EASIEST prof ever, since he GIVES OUT the Questions and answers for the exams..literally!! Textbook readings are a pain though...
