Couldn't keep his facts straight. Confused characters between novels, and didn't make sense much of the time. He made so many mistakes, that I couldn't put any stock in anything he said. I was very interested in Anglo-Irish prose, but hated the class because of him.

What can I say about George? A competent teacher, who can't see beyond his own nose. There were ideas expressed in the subject matter that some of his students understood better than he did... however, he was unwilling (or unable) to admit it. Ah well... if rote memorization is all you want to deal with in English, he's your man. Sorry George

Dr.Casey is tough, but fair. He has high standards in terms of grammar, structure, etc., and is very happy to tell you what he expects. I enjoyed his course immensely. He carried on quite a bit with the class, but I never thought of his conduct as rude in any way. Genuinely kind and well-informed.

I am a graduate student.I didn't like Dr. Casey highlighting my weaknesses and errors in my undergraduate writing. However, I must categorically state that I would not have reached this level without that caring and honesty. He always was well prepared and helping. In retrospect, all my thanks.
