Kabalka is the man! He is easily the best professor I've had here at UT. He uploads all the old exams with answers, so you always know what to expect (most of them are very similar to the real exam you'll take). He grades every exam himself, and he understands that organic questions have multiple answers, and as long as it makes sense, full credit.

Overall awesome professor. Very bright, very experienced. Makes lectures interesting, to me as a chem major anyway. Biggest drawback is the total lack of course curve, can really hurt GPA if you aren't willing to put in the work. If you are, however, his class is a very positive experience.

Dr. Kabalka is the best science professor at UT. He only has 3 exam grades and homework to count for your final grade, but if you well on the exams and do all the homework, you will get an A. Just study the powerpoints he posts on blackboard and do the practice exam, and you should be fine. Definitely recommend taking him for Orgo chem!

There are only 3 tests include the final for a semester, so you better do well in all of them to be able to get an A. His grade are just 3 tests and homeworks. No extra credit, no clicker, no attendance. But to be honest, his test are fairly easy. an homeworks are short.

Dr. Kabalaka is a great professor. Always go to class and don't ignore the suggested homework questions - they will only help you. If you don't understand something go to his office because he is always willing to help students who are trying. There is no getting around the fact that this class is hard but totally doable

Its organic, but Kabalka does a great job of making things manageable. Gives out several practice tests and they match up well enough to get you a fair grade. The best part is that he accidentally says halrarious things about chemistry.

Dr. Kabalka is the best choice for Organic Chem. He tests over the necessary fundamentals and doesn't try to trick or deceive you. Organic takes a lot of work, but he makes it as smooth as possible.

Dr. Kabalka is very clear about exactly what you need to know for organic chem. He gives you his exams with and without answers from the past several years to study for, USE THEM--if you do well on the practice tests you will know exactly what to expect on the exams! Great professor!

Dr. Kabalka is the MOST FAIR science professor I've had in college. Tests are straight-forward. No tricks. His teaching style is old-school. All lecture and explanations. I went to SI twice a week but never did the HW--still made an A minus. Put in the time and keep up with the work and you will not regret it.

I knew O-Chem would be hard, but I felt like he made it harder than what it should have been. He knows what he is talking about I just do not believe that he is good at teaching the material. There is a guy on Youtube who teaches O-Chem better (explains more; not attempts to explain through examples). Studied hardcore for the final & still failed.

I love Dr. Kabalka. If you have to take Chem 350 take him or you will regret it. His tests are straight forward while still making you think. Only 3 grades (2 exams and 1 final) count toward your final grade, so there's no room for messing up. He's always there to help and I love organic because of him.

Dr. Kabalka is funny, witty, and extremely intelligent. The first test will be easy, the second terrible, and the third in between those two. There are ONLY 3 grades in this class, however Kabalka is totally worth taking. He is the best and easiest O-Chem teacher at UT. His old tests are basically copies of his new tests. Study your a** off !

A very good teacher, but his grading system is very unforgiving to any mistakes you make. No curve at all in his class, though an A is attainable, but very difficult. Probably the best O chem teacher, but his tests and grading scale are too unforgiving. If youre more interested in learning the material for the MCAT than your grade, take Kabalka.
