Comment:

Dr. Whitehead is a good guy. He gets his bad reviews from students who didn't try. He will let you hand in rough drafts until they're 100%. The tests were hard but that's b/c it's hard material. I felt bad for him b/c when he asked questions in class no one would answer, but it's hard stuff. He made the class interesting with real life examples.

Comment:

Professor Whitehead definitely knows his stuff. The material is interesting, but unfortunately the long class period makes it definitely get dry. However, no attendance required, and he's quick to help you bend some deadlines (if you actually deserve it). Would take again.

The class is really easy as long as you pay attention in class and take notes. Dr. Whitehead can be kinda dry, but he makes the material easy to understand. If you give him your papers early, he will give you great feedback, that way you get a good grade. I would recommend him for this class.

He prsents the information, clear, cut and dry. Expects you to come in with some prior knowledge...as you should. Horrible at answering questions. He pretty much repeats what he said with emphasis on words that you already heard. Otherwise, a very fair grader and will give feedback that will help improve writing.

He is extremely helpful, a little unclear at times but just ask him to clarify and he will. I was out sick for 2 weeks and he let me make up missed exams and was very understanding. You have 2 research papers that he will edit before due date. The tests are a little hard but he provides study guides so use them! He also curves a lot! Take him!

I struggle everyday just to go to this class. Very boring he makes things very confusing and people have to constantly repeat themselves to be understood. Exams are difficult only because he confuses people during the lecture. A good thing about him he curves almost everything but what does that say about his teaching skills smh.

Dr. Whitehead is a really nice man. He is really willing to work with you because he wants you to do well. However, his lectures were a little unclear and hard to follow. I had to go back and read some of the concepts in the book to understand them. Overall, his class is not too difficult.

What we studied was interesting, but the class was rather boring. I went because his exams come almost directly from the class, though i had trouble trying to not daydream. Would take him again though, hes a nice dude and is always willing to help. (bonus points for not losing his cool with all the dumb questions by major idiots in this one!)

Very helpful teacher. Stats was not an exciting class due to the nature of the material. No attendance, but if you want to do well you need to go to every class. Does not check homework but it's wise to do it so you don't fall behind in understanding the material. He was always willing to help and generally concerned about the student's progress.

Dr Whitehead gets a bad rep because he teaches stats... but honestly, we are psyc majors because we don't have to do TONS of math. Stats is just a sucky class to begin with. Its not his fault, if you are in trouble he can be very helpful. Just go to him.

He made the class as bareable as possible. It was boring as all get-out but that was the fault of the subject, not the professor. He lets you use notes and books for all tests and really gives the student every opportunity to succeed. He is my adviser, he is a very caring man, dedicated to volunteering. i thought he was an awesome teacher. im not a mathy tyoe person at all and i got an A. hes really nice and genuinely wants to help you and see you do well. he doesnt really take attendance but i would recommend going to class regularly and then you wont fall behind.
