Easy class, but you have to attend every single lecture. Professor can be arrogant and says whatever is on his mind, even if it isn't appropriate.

BUS681 MBA class is excellent. After 32 years my advice is listen carefully high school & university students. What he teaches is real life. You may not see the value in it now but you will wish you paid attention when you are IN business & bump up against conflict, politics, HR issues or understanding why your business is not lit up.

Class wasn't hard at all, grade is comprised of 2 reflection papers (25% each), a take home final (30%), and participation (20%). If you go to lectures and can apply basic self reflection in your papers, you will do great in this course! Not necessarily fond of Gervase as a person (somewhat arrogant), but easy course nonetheless.

Draining+exhausting class. Unclear grading criteria, unhelpful prof, extremely rude feedback on assignments, be prepared to be spending 10+ hours PER week on this class. You won't understand what's expected of you - he'll tell you to figure it out on your own. This class DOES prepare you to be a consultant ... at the cost of your mental health.

Gervase challenges his students to think in ways most of them never have. Naturally some resist, because this instructor pushes them to speak with clarity about their emotions and thoughts. This is really difficult for a lot of people, but Gervase teaches the skills needed to do it. Really enjoyed this course and recommend his classes to anyone.

He reminds me of what would happen if a hippie decided to become a teacher one day. There was no organization, no structure and no use for anything he taught... ie: How to take notes the Gervase Bushe method... I didn't pay to learn how to take notes!

During 488 Gervase really makes you look at yourself and your behaviours. He gives great feedback and I use the skills that I learnt from him everyday. You need to go into this class with an open mind and you will grow as a student and as a person.

Interesting subject(if like HR and org theory).Lectures are almost too informative.Although grading format is simple, you need to learn everything and in detail.A challenge. Reading (book/ppt), studying is not optional.Paper is super hard.
