I absolutely loved Dr. Crippen's class he made Geography really fun and he was such a caring, kind individual. He takes students under his wing and inspires them to flourish in his class. He makes sure that everyone understands the topic and genuinely wants students to succeed on test and assignments. Easily one of the best professors at CNU.

Although he lecutres a lot, a lot of it is peresonal stories & experiences. He is the best professor I have had. He truly cares about your success and has so much experience, it makes class interesting and fun.

Crippen is one of my most favorite teachers i've had so far at CNU. His classes aren't necessarily hard, just go to class. He's also one of the nicest professors ever, very caring. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Comment:

Great professor with very interesting lectures. No Power Points are used, he talks at you for the entire class period and you hope that you are able to write everything down. Tests and quizzes have questions that you never even went over in class. I learned a lot about geography and culture in this class. He is approachable with any questions.

Professor Crippen flips back and forth between subjects so the class is very unorganized BUT he is extremely sweet and is very willing to help you succeed! The tests are difficult and anything that he says in class is FAIR GAME for the tests - tests are hard because they cover SO MUCH. One project, pop quizzes, every class quizzes too

Gil is very sweet and will do anything to help you in order to succeed. With that said, he is VERY unorganized because his lectures are all verbal and from the top of his head. So, he will remember to tell some information to one class, but to the next he won't (even though the same test is used for both). Take notes on EVERYTHING! But, good class.

Guy is very nice, friendly, and smart. No doubt about it, this man knows his geography and I don't doubt his credibility. But I do question him as a teacher. Everything is verbally taught, there are no online material in case you missed a day, and basically you only have one shot to understand/write the notes, otherwise you'll be screwed for tests.

He's a very friendly man with a kind heart. He does tend to speak fast and will wear out your note taking hand, but he doesn't mind repeating himself. However, watch out. He'll go into what seem like tangents/personal anecdotes but listen carefully for a statistic or trend about the place he's describing. However, he tends to overgeneralize a bit.

This is one of my favorite classes! His class is really interesting and fun to listen too. He really knows what he is talking about even though he talks really fast. I would suggest recording his lectures and taking good notes. As long as you study for the quizzes and tests you'll be fine.

Mr. Crippen is my favorite teacher I have ever had at CNU. He is such a smart man and is so interesting to listen to. I took this class just to take it and learned more than I learned in most of my classes for my major. It requires going to class...but isn't that what we pay for? Go take it!!

Amazing Prof. He talks super fast and has a lot to say which means that you must take a lot of notes. Use the corse packet even if he doesn't tell you too. It will help and study the map quizzes and you will be fine!! Very helpful, good guy!

Talks very fast and is all over the place. Interesting but you have to know some of the most random info to do well. READ COURSE PACK and study map quizzes- your saving graces. Great guy and funny class but bring a tape recorder or you will miss something.

Dr. Crippen is an amazing teacher. He gives way too many map quizzes though. Loves to color in maps of different countries in the world. Tests are kinda hard, make sure to study your notes. His lectures are not as helpful as going to class. Make sure you get all the notes to do well.The quizzes you can use your notes for. Tells you a lot about geo.

his exams are ridiculous. remember every single word he says, memorize the notes in the course pack, and you'll be just fine. that said, he's a fantastic professor, a really great guy, and his class is utterly fascinating. it might not be so great for your GPA, but it's worth it if you really love to learn.
