Comment:

This teacher is, yes, difficult to approach to many and can be harsh in certain situations (e.g. questions he judges stupid) However, he honestly cares about his students and has high standards for them. If you are going to university to learn, then he will be a great teacher to you! I really loved him and would take his class again! :)

that teacher is not approachable, he is only there for the pay... English is brutal, not friendly... and is full of himself... he does not like students... or does not know how to interact with students... classes are boring and his books are outdated... what a waste of time.

Intimidating for timide and shy people. Slightly above average grader ( believes 70% is a low average for a mid-term). If you take him and you skip class, you will most likely fail his class. Tips: Don't take his " angry tones" as personal attacks, try to be alert in his class, take effective notes and listen. Had him for 3 of my classes so far.

Isn't good at answering questions or clarifying. Tries to encourage class participation but gets mad when you say the wrong answer. Overall, will avoid taken any of his classes.

My favourite teacher of the Political Studies department. His lectures are not the most passionate, and he can be a bit intimidating, but he is clear, helpful, and has clear grading criterias. I love the structure of his exams (3 parts: short answer questions, médium lenght answer questions, and two essay questions)

Dr. Gagné is a professor who has a very wide knowledge of his subject. Even if he is a harsh marker, I like his way of bringing a topic in front of a class and explaining it to the students. However, the textbooks that he recommends to buy can be a little bit too voluminous to read. In conclusion, I enjoyed his courses and I would take another one.

Dr. Gange is a very smart prof who has a great wealth of knowledge in Poli Sci. That said, I've always found him to be quite intimidating. He marks pritty stiff, and you MUST read all of the course materials, which is alot of reading. Attendance is also key to success. Work accompanies this prof, sometimes more than the average student wants.

Prof Gagne is overall a good teacher. Can be extremely boring when giving lectures and what's up with him and morning classes? Besdies for that he's a very interesting person outside of class and very willing to help students.
