Superb Professor. Taking a class with Gladys is being with a true PRO, one of the best in the Spanish Department. She is both caring and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend her courses, especially because you will be studying with a true native speaker. She is Argentinean and I love her accent!

Prof. Ilarregui is the sweetest. She is so passionate and enthusiastic during lectures which makes the material much more interesting. She is always willing to help you with anything. I highly recommend her!

Comment:

This professor cancelled classes because she was ill, but we always had assignments to complete. She was always understanding, graded fairly and changed the syllabus to keep talking about the stories in the book as some students did not understand the language. I will take her again, sweet, compassionate and very informed about her topic.

I took her for winter session, the class is alot of reading and writing. She is very passionate in what she is teaching and always has interesting things to say. She has no quizzes or tests but she does assign compositions weekly. If you don't go to class you will not pass as most of this class is discussion based. I highly recommend her as teacher

Graduate students adore this professor. She is a passionate a scholar and always brings original assignments to the class. Lazy students will find it hard to understand her assignments because she speaks Spanish all the time! and her vocabulary is impressive. Last semester was my last at UD. She will stay in my memory forever.

Only professor I've ever disliked. Never seems to have a lesson plan; half the time she'd come in and just show us YouTube clips that hardly related to what we were doing. The textbooks barely related to the class, was horribly dense and boring, and assigned in huge chunks. Assignments were always unclear. The class was painful to sit through.

Professor Ilarregui is a nice person but is not a very good teacher. She is extremely confusing with her expectations and very easily distracted/ scatterbrained. She assigns ALOT of work and the readings are very hard to understand. She expects too much out of students who have a bunch of other classes they are taking in addition.

Prof. Ilarregui is the sweetest lady and I love her to death, but she is the queen of giving big assignments at the last minute, like a 7 min oral presentation due next class. Or reading emailed an hour before class. Loved her class otherwise, she's very passionate.

She is a very sweet woman but as a professor...not so great. There are not enough negative adjectives to describe her poor teaching style. She is EXTREMELY unorganized, unreliable, always late. I learned more for her class from Wikipedia than from her teaching..oh that's right, because she doesn't teach. Class is an easy A but its torture!

I have never seen a less prepared, less organized, and poor teacher in my life. She never had the book, the sylabus or any materials. She had no idea what was going on with her class and constantly had to ask the class what was happening. I would never take her again.

spends a lot of class time lecturing to enjoy life and everything we have... generally a nice lady, but her idea of teaching is to have students read stories and answer book questions, then she'll read the stories/poems as if that helps us understand. tests aren't too bad though. final is a research paper.

Very helpful and nice! Passionate about what she's teaching! Practically no homework. Tests are easy! Essays are easy! Got nothing higher than A-'s on everything, but i got a 4.0 on my transcript! Attend class & you'll do fine. You'll need the book too!

Lots of readong, but not much homework other than that. She doesn't give much feedback on your writing, but she definately wants students to do well and always tries to make sure you understand what she's talking about. Usuaully will repeat herself in English if she doesn't think you understand. A little scatter brained, but definately an awesome teacher.

I think that she is very helpful and wants to make sure that you completely understand whats going on. If you don't she'll say it in enlish. Alot of reading, and few test. Papers are long though.
