So the teacher didnt do anything except field questions on students who had issues with blackboard or the textbooks website where most of the work was done. I could have just as easily bought the book myself and saved myself $1400 because I didnt get ANY extra instruction from the teacher. Class was a joke it was so easy.

Took GEO105 online and it was an absolute breeze. There was an online homework due everyday, but it wasn't hard at all. the practice exams are required, but the questions are worded the same as on the actual exam. There was also an extra credit opportunity every week on the discussion that was super helpful. Highly recommend.

Online Geography 105, counted as the lab credit. Had two books: One lab manual, one textbook. A lot of reading, and the labs are a lot of work as well. Quizzes are basically just asking what you had for answers for questions on the lab. For me, it was a hard class. It is a lot of work with discussion boards, quizzes, and labs, so stay on top of it.

One of the most hypocritical professors I've ever met. She is constantly lecturing the class about recycling and conserving products, yet she prints out numerous amounts of paper to hand out in class, and I really mean a lot. We usually get a page of notes everyday, articles, a new map, and an attendance slip she uses everyday to take attendance.

Good professor overall. Lectures weren't that interesting, but videos helped and had a lot of extra credit opportunities. Start term project at the beginning of the course and the better grade you will get. Map quizzes and the term project helped my grade, when multiple choice tests weren't too good. Pretty easy class for UP.

If you want a class about how geography affects environment then you're out of luck. You learn three things about geography the entire semester. If you want to take an environmental issues class with some map tests then this is the class for you. The class is easy and you don't have to take notes so that's something going for it.

This professor was honestly terrible. She lectures from the front of the class and only talks about the notes she gives a sheet of. But yet she takes attendance every class by a note card you turn in. And her term paper is a ridiculous amount of work for a 100 level class.

I was very uninterested in environmental geography, but this class wasn't too bad. I got an A- after getting over 100% on map tests (memorize!) I didn't do as well on multiple choice tests, but the extra credit made up for it. Start the semester long project early and it's easy. Overall very boring, but not a tough class.

This class is pretty simple. She lectures the entire hour, but will sometimes show videos that are actually very interesting. Just show up to class, study the notes, and study A LOT for the map tests. start the semester long project early. You cannot wait till the last minute. Otherwise, easy class.

If your attention span is low, this professor may not be the best choice. Siers is passionate about what she teaches, but her presentation of the material is very direct and all lecture-based. She also assigns a lot of reading, not only in the text, but on Blackboard, as well as hand outs.

Sure, she's not the most exciting professor in the world, but at least she's passionate about what she teaches. The map quizzes and exams are fairly easy as long as you study a good couple hours beforehand. It's easy to get an A with all the extra credit. For example, watching Jurassic Park out of class added 1% to my total grade.

Boring Boring Boring!!! Lectures will put you to sleep and map exams are fairly easy, regular exam question will have a paragraph oh useless facts then the question! Picky on the term project she assigns! Also she does take attendance and if you don't go then she will take a % point off your overall grade in the class

Good class to take a nap in. Lectures are more like conversations, but boring conversations that put you out. Here tests are the same way! She will write a misc. paragraph telling you about facts that are irrelevant then the question! So boring! She will take attendance and if you don't go she takes % off final grade

Not a hard class but she is a TERRIBLE professor. She preaches at you about the enviorment, and since attendance is mandatory you have to sit through it. The reviews she gives for exams dont help that much. Easy class to pass but i couldnt stand her lectures. There has to be a better GEO prof at cental other than her.

Listen, at times this class seems boring, it is at times, but if you go to to the extra credit movies and actually listen to what she says, you will learn a lot. Read the textbook, and her lecture sheets she passes out. The map quizzes aren't that bad, she is really nice and she is willing to help, but only if you make the effort.

VERY nice professor and is willing to help her students. Listening to her lecture is pretty boring but after she talks for an hour you have the rest of the time to work on labs. Not a easy class.. but if you do the articles, labs, and somewhat well on the tests, you'll get at least a C

Very nice, boring, but nice. 2 hours of class: first hour is lecture, second hour is exercises she assigns. If I didn't come to class, all I would have to do is tell her that I accidently slept in, or that I was sick or whatever, she was completely understanding. She gives you all the notes you need, so you really don't need the book.
