Gordon is an extremely boring prof; however, his exams are fair and if you need extra help he is willing to help. As long as you read the textbook and do the questions from the study guide you will do well on the final and on the midterm.

Awful awful professor. He doesn't do any examples in class; he opens up each chapter from the textbook; blabs for an hour and then powers through all the slides while reading things off of the screen. You can do really well by reading the textbook and understanding the concepts. Tutorial questions and study guide are essential. Classes are boring.

Gordon is a great guy. Yes, his slides are straight out of the textbook, but he uses very thorough explanations and interesting examples. He really wants his students to understand what he is talking about. He's always open for questions, I spent a lot of time in his office hours. Exams are difficult but fair.

Lectures are killer. Especially the 2 hour one. You will fall asleep guaranteed. All of his lectures (posted on Webct) are straight from the textbook. Monotone voice. Study guide & textbook are really helpful. Go to tutorials. Midterms were fair but final was horrible.

Go to lecture and take good notes. Some tricky questions on the exams to see who's been paying more attention. Barely used the text in the exams but it helps to understand the material. Not much reading. Overall decent prof.

Not a good prof. He's nice but does not know what he's talking about. Always has to refer to his notes and he's teaches things that aren't in the textbook. So you have to know both textbook stuff and stuff he teaches. TAKE 290 WITH SOMEONE ELSE !
