this guy is brutal. hard class and his lectures have nothing to do with anything. u basically teach yourself. i withdrew from his class it was just beyond demanding. he's boring and makes u take these stupid map quizzes. ugh soooooo glad i didnt stick with that class.

Probably one of the best teachers at Broome (that I had anyway). I found his lectures to be very stimulating and interesting, to the point where I caught myself unconciously absorbing everything that was being said(which for me is rare). I didn't have to study for the tests or touch the book because the tests were very easy.

I also had him for a history course. He's not that bad at all. He expects you to write very minimal papers, and show up and pay attention. Honestly, in comparison to many other professors out there, this guy is amazing. His lectures are VERY informative, and truly change you and your way of seeing the world. But, he hands stuff back way too late!

Prof. Thomasson is the best. Never cared much for history before taking his classes. He puts current events in their historical context. Never watched the news much or concerned myself with world affairs--now I'm a news junkie! His exams are not very hard if you do the readings. Lectures are very interesting and he is very passionate on subject.

At times lectures are so electrifying that I want to jump out my seat and applaud. Other times I'm fighting hard the urge to nod off while the students near the door try to sneak out.You have to be self-disciplined with the reading assignments to do well in this class because, though he lectures on current events,exams are on reading. Good class.

He's very knowledgeable. I took this online with him and have no clue how I ended up passing. He gave loads of ridiculous homework. I did all the work, but felt really stupid throughout the semester. Unless you love history, don't take this online with him. Your better off sitting in a classroom.

He is a extremely intelligent person who makes things understandable for the most part. Out of all the profesors I have had at BCC, Thomassan has been by far the most inspiring. I enjoyed his rants about george bush, woodrow wilson, etc. He does try to fit material in that won't be on the test and this is why i got a B-.

a lot of work but it can be handled, I took this class last semester and tended to feel like I was struggling, but ended up with a B something. No exams or quizes so the work you do is basically written assignments and participation (and a lot of reading of course)

He really piles on the work in the on-line class but is very fair and lenient if you miss some of the work. NO EXAMS or QUIZES! But you will write and research a lot. Would have been a great class if I had more time AND IF Mr. T did not have an axe to grind with the Bush admininstration. If you are democrat or far left you will love this course!
