She isn't always clear in her explanation of concepts. With that being said, she's really nice and she's always there for her students. She's definitely a fair grader but you have to put in a fair amount of work. Learned a LOT and really enjoyed the course overall!

Excellent, unique course if you're interested in the topic (as I was); if not, probably best to avoid. Lecture style takes a bit of getting used to as she isn't always succinct or direct, but it's obvious that she knows her material very well. Nice person, willing to help with assignments. The final paper is a doozy at 10 - 12 pages.

She's a very well-spoken a intelligent prof but she just struggles to be clear in her lectures. She's very nice and wants her students to succeed, but she can be very hard to understand sometimes. If you do the readings and go over her powerpoints you'll do ok in the class.

I did not enjoy this class. I don't like her style of lecturing- her english is very good but she has a tendency to fumble over her words and not express ideas very clearly. Does not make criteria for the final very clear. Textbook is pretty interesting though-- taught me a lot more than the lectures.

Her lectures were incomprehensible. Her TAs were incompetent. Honestly wish I had never taken this class, which is a shame because the material, if well taught, could be truly fascinating.

Honestly, this class was horrible. The class avg failed the 1st midterm. For the 2nd midterm she GAVE us the questions and the avg was STILL 75! Terrible lecturer + ridiculously hard grader + incompetent TAs a bad time. I usually get B+ As. I doubt I will receive anything in that range. Its a shame that this is mandatory for an EAST major.

Awful prof, avoid at all costs. Her exams are insane and the material insipid. Lecture delivery cryptic and she lacks the capacity to engage students. It's a miracle that someone like her could get a ph.d.

1st midterm avg below 50, 2nd midterm where all the questions were given before avg 70. It's not about what you know, it's how closely you follow the questions (ex vs reasons) on the exam and how specific you are in your answer. Writing down everything you know about a term still may not earn you full marks while being concise will prob fail you.

very bad lecturer. She rarely makes clear, complete sentences and tends to just ramble without actually explaining things. Our first midterm average was a 49%. She gave us concepts to identify along with some short essay questions, however, was very specific about the information she wanted and was harsh.

Worst course I've had at McGill and I'm graduating. She can barely make complete sentences, lost in insignificant details every class. Truly disorganised, she rarely went beyond the course readings. She may be an expert but really fails to communicate her knowledge and grasp students' interest.

Grace did not care about my thesis and ended up passing me on to her husband, Robin. Once, we handed in our assignment and forgot to attach the bibliography and she told us she could get us expelled for plaigiarism. It was obvious we weren't trying to plaigiarize. Mean, mean lady. Glad I'm done.
