Worst professor I have had at SMU. He expects students to be as smart as him. We got a question on the midterm that we have not solved similar to in class. If you are going to take a class with him, make sure you attend every class and study hard FROM THE TEXT BOOK.

Great prof gives really good explanations in class lets you know what will be on the exams and curves almost every exam. If you do not go to class you probably won't do well, if you go you are likely to get a good grade.

A complete mess of a class. Read the book and don't rely on him at all otherwise, you'll probably need to take the class again. Classes are super scattered, the notes he writes on the overhead board make absolutely no sense. Worst prof at SMU period.

This semester I took two courses of Dr. Ansong (ACCT3343&ACCT4445) and I can absolutely recommend this professor! He is by far one of the best professors I have ever had: He's always willing to help, cares a lot about his students and he's also great at explaining things. His notes are really useful to understand complex topics. Don't miss a class!

Do not recommend. Discriminates against women and when reported to the Conflict Resolution Advisor, she admitted that he has been reported more than a handful of times concerning similar circumstances. His lectures are scattered and intense.

Among the best I have ever been tought by in my academic years, a true genious, makes the course very easy to understand, uses lots of examples from real to make the material more clearer, one of few professors that has an open door policy, very helpful, amazing sense of humor. made me love accounting.

He likes to see effort, I think that's important especially for someone like me who barely passed both the final and midterm. The class has a lot of potential but he's too smart and expects you to know too much, too soon. I missed one class and could answer a heavily weighted question on both the final and midterm. DONT MISS A CLASS!

This class has so much potential but with this prof it's not enjoyable at all. Go to class and copy every WORD. I missed one class and wasn't able to finish a question from the final exam - which was the hardest final I have written. Make sure he knows your name.. I am sure I failed the final but ended up with a B+.

I have never been so happy with a grade in my life because I could honestly not tell you one thing I learned in this class. Granville is such a nice man, he's incredibly smart which I think is the problem. He's so smart he doesn't understand why the students don't get it. He wants you to do well. The class is very difficult to follow.

ansong is actually.. nice. screams at people to understand, but hes harmless, thats all. he helps pretty well, although he likes to trick you well. he re-uses his exams, but he can go back a couple of years.. so dont expect for things to be recent. his final was decent. more common sense wise. study from notes and assignments and youll do fine

He gives scary lectures. and hard exam! for 3345,we were supposed to have midterm and he changed to a paper. we had 3 papers in total that we never got them back or got to know the mark. after the final , all I know for the entire course is the only mark (C). I went to every class and took notes but really pissed that we dont get any other marks

i'm sorry, but what exactly was i supposed to learn from this course? abstract, unorganized, and incomprehensible, ansong will have you grasping for the nearest door-knob during class. don't expect exams to be easy, either, which is strange considering the subject material isn't that complex or hard to understand.
