Comment:
Tonkay is by far the best professor in the ISE department. His tests can be tricky and often have open response about random topics from the textbook, but if you do the every day assignments and homeworks, you can get a good grade in the class even if you get C's on the tests. He actually wants you to do well if you try and truly cares about us.

Comment:
The material isn't too difficult but his tests can be. Make sure to do the homework, which he recently made mandatory. He's not the world's best teacher, he just reads off the slides. I was very interested in the beginning of the semester but found myself opening my laptop each class cause he was so boring. He'll give help if you ask but he is busy

Comment:
His tests are extremely difficult. Homework is optional and you should do it. But I would not say his test questions were even remotely related to the homework. Yes the material he lectures about is on but he likes to throw a lot of curve balls. This man talks straight from the slides and tries to throw in random facts to give things interesting.

Comment:
Really make the class interesting but the material he goes over in the powerpoints is only a small portion of the test. The majority of the test come from the optional HW's he assigns. Tests are pretty tricky so I'd recommend doing the problems twice if you can

Comment:
Make sure to do all of the homeworks (twice if possible) before each of the tests. The quantitative questions on the exams come straight from the PowerPoints so read those over before coming into the test. He's a pretty tough grader, but if you do the homeworks and the practice exams, you should be fine.

Tests for this class can be pretty tough so make sure to study. Homework is not graded but should be done if you want to do well on the tests. Tonkay's a great professor.

Basically straightforward with the lectures and tests. He says class is optional, but yet gives pop quizzes. Most importantly, he looks exactly like Tony Kornheiser from PTI on ESPN. Can you say "MAIL CALL!"
