Professor Campbell is amazing! Although his lectures can be confusing at times, he proves to be a very thought-provoking and inspiring teacher. Also, he is a very generous marker. I will be attempting to take future classes with him!

He was a terrible prof. I never understood where he was going with anything, he's so unclear and rambles about random things. He's rude and acts like hes the only one in the world that knows about any english topic. Did not enjoy his class at all, the last book we read was completely irrelavant to the course and english.

I have had Campbell several times, he may ramble but only because he is excited to share information. He is fantastic to meet with one on one and will clarify any questions you bring to him. I think sharing personal stories makes profs less intimidating. The man is a genius once you get to know him. Skipping class makes your opinion of him invalid.

If I could sum Campbell up in one word it would be condescending. He speaks arrogantly and does not hesitate to preach his (often offensive) opinions to the class. He NEVER discusses the course material and instead rambles about his college friends for the whole class. Awful experience. I learned absolutely nothing in his lectures.

Not necessary to attend lectures as they are hard to understand and irrelevant. The seminars with the teaching assistants make the class though! VERY helpful TA's who are fair and give good feedback.

He definitely has an indirect way of speaking but what he teaches you in terms of how to think outside of the box is inspirational

Campbell definitely knows a lot but he is just all over the place. He brings up irrelevant details to support a point/argument and it's just so hard to follow/understand what he's trying to get across. He also requires a "computer-free zone" which is kind of annoying. He made me dread coming to class.

His class attendance went from full to basically empty in no time at all. He often rants, and while he knows what he's talking about, it's often poorly communicated. I'd try to avoid.

This class was alright. The prof definitely had a broad knowledge and was able to create both helpful and sometimes irrelevant links to the material, often looking at things from unusual perspectives. To those who say we weren't told to buy Hamlet... it was in our Literature Anthology and is accessible online.

At all costs, avoid this professor. Hamlet was not on the booklist but it is on the syllabus. He assumes we've all read Hamlet so we aren't required to actually buy it even though there are seminars and a midterm for it. And for the people who didn't actually read it in high school? They have extra work to do? I don't understand.

Campbell is hilarious and engaging. I admit I didn't like him at first and found him pretentious, until I got my grades back and realized he is a super fair marker who appreciates hard work. There is SO MUCH to learn from him. I find myself, long after I have had him, repeating his words as if they were my own. He gets in your head! Take him!

I definitely do not like my English classes as much as I thought I would after having two classes. Hardly anything he ever says is relevant to the text you read, you can tell he is so disorganized, and it's almost tragic watching and listening to him. He rarely discusses the text adequately. I wish I had another prof.

I could count on one hand the amount of times i attended his class. All he would talk about was his personal life, almost like trying to one up the younger generation and prove how "cool he is". he almost never talked about the text, but the midterm and exam weren't bad as long as you read the text. I would try for another prof.

Very interesting man with informed views which he loves to share. Rather than seeing it as rambling, try to take it in. His lectures are mandatory in that you never know what you will learn that you may find yourself thinking about long after class is over. He doesn't rely on texts heavily during lecture, but beware as they are tested on.

I loved Gregor as a teacher, he was dynamic and made references to current issues. However BEWWARE of finals and midterms, he is a fun teacher but tests hard.

course code might be wrong - it was the seminar course. he rambles A LOT and very little makes sense, but his marking is easy. as long as you get the point he's trying to make (and incorporate HIS words into your responses) you can get an 80+

He rambles more than any Professor I have ever encountered. Though his marking is difficult, it is relatively fair. His lectures can be painful to listen to because he is so disorganized and he does not seem very interested in what students have to say, however he will engage with you enough to argue whatever point you're trying to prove.

I really enjoyed my class taught by him. He is funny, and uses current events as examples to literature. Helpful if you have a question, generous marker on essays but watch out for his exams; they are very difficult.
