Greg is super sweet, tries to be funny and it seems to lighten the mood. He truly does care and wishes for his students to do well, although he isn't a great lecturer. I seemed to fall asleep in class or not show up because he is completely boring. Sometimes he is unclear and gets off topic.

Greg is one of my favourite professors at UVic. He is very passionate about what he teaches and his test questions are very fair. His classes are both interesting and excellent GPA boosters. I would highly recommend his classes, especially Biol 351!

Greg was a decent prof, you could definitely tell he's well educated and loves his work but he is extremely boring while lecturing; put me to sleep a few time. Spent more time wondering why he doesn't bend his knees when he walks while also sounding like Ross from friends. Don't really need to attend lectures, just read the textbook.

Dry, off topic, tangents, tests on things not covered in lecture. Greg should not be lecturing anymore, so bad!

Was very approachable and always explained stuff clearly. He was a bit boring at times but over all I felt like the environment he created was pretty good for learning. He posts the slides online usually on time too.

Dr. Beaulieu is definitely one of the smartest profs I've had, however, I think that I would enjoy him more as an upper level prof rather than first year. I studied like crazy for the exams and his questions came out of nowhere and were inconsistent with what he emphasized in class. I suggest reading the textbook and focusing on small details.

Greg and Rossi teach BIOL 184/186 together. They use test questions from the published test bank and test on information that is not emphasized or given special attention in lecture. Really hard to know what Greg thinks is important. He rambles on what Im sure is interesting to a higher level student but not 1st year. Lecture isnt helpful.

His exam questions for bio 184 and 186 (prev. 190 A/B) are really difficult. He drones on in lectures and gets sidetracked easily. His notes are confusing and not helpful, and he doesn't release complete slides.

Greg Beaulieu is an angel that walks among us. He is incredibly knowledgable in a broad range of subjects, and truly cares about ensuring student success. His lectures can be a little dry if you don't catch his subtle humour, but his testing is always very fair with no surprises. I would take any class Greg teaches!

Greg doesn't get enough credit on here. Although his lecture topics are quite broad, he makes them interesting and fun to learn. He's passionate about Biology and History and is super approachable. If you show interest, ask questions, and go to class, you'll get a good mark (and it's not hard).

Greg is a great teacher! He tries his best to make his classes interesting, although the material he is teaching is very broad therefore a little bland. I found him to be a good lecturer, the 1 hour and 20 minute class time does make it difficult to be engaged the whole time. Overall I would definitely take his classes again!

Greg means well but doesn't lecture well. Drones on about things that don't really matter (especially history, I think he did a double major), then blasts through relevant material. I don't think he really plans his lectures. Not the worst prof but not the best.

Worst proff i've had so far. Monotone voice almost fell asleep every lecture. The Lab portion was stupid. Biol 184 has made me never want to take another bio class, had to memorize everything from genetics to plants to mammals. Good luck.

Extremely boring professor, and mono tone voice which makes it impossible to pay attention. I fell asleep almost every lecture because they were 1 hour and 20 mins at 8:30am. I strongly disliked this class and this professor.

Lectures are mostly pretty boring but sometimes he'll throw in a quick joke, which kind of throws you off. Tests are pretty easy, just memorize the slides he posts. You don't even really have to go to class. TIP: a solid quarter of the test questions will be the same ones he gives you beforehand to study so DO THE STUDY QUESTIONS if you want an A!
