Worst professor at Wesleyan. He has no social or communication skills. His powerpoints are often incoherent. THe entire class was unprepared for exams.. He rarely offered outside help, and his tests were unbearably hard given our lack of preparation. many of us talked bout going to the dean multiple times for help. DONOT TAKE HIM - GPA will tank

There is no need to take notes--studying off of the power points will work just fine. Classes are boring and lab is even worse. Tuesdays are just long and drawn out. The tests are very hard, so studying will probably help. He puts on a ton of extra credit, though, so it is still possible to do well.

He's a really nice guy and he doesn't require you to show up for lecture, just lab once a week. This is good, because lectures are really boring. The first test is the hardest, just make sure you print out his lecture notes and read them over and you'll be fine.

he's not great at keeping your interest in class, but he tries really hard, and if you do go to class and stay awake, it's easy to get an A. also, he gives a lot of bonus questions on the tests

Hey, Pouch, see that 101 at the end of the course name? That means that everybody in your class is taking it as a Gen Ed and DOES NOT REALLY CARE about rocks. So plan accordingly.-There's no way to do well on tests, and even Pouch doesn't seem to know what's going on most of the time in lab. For what he expects, this course should be 300-level.

Some of the information about land and its usefulness was good to learn, but the professor is very rude and lets his horrible jokes get in the way of teaching class. Do not take him for Geology, or anything else he may ever teach.
