I honestly would not have passed calculus with any other professor. One take home test and three open-book tests were reasonable. He even let us do an easier retake for one of the tests if we failed. Lectures are extremely boring, but he truly cares about his students. I probably paid attention 5min the whole semester and still got a B.

If you want to teach yourself everything, this is the class for you. Attendance is mandatory, but he doesn't actually teach, except for "life lessons." When I do pay attention, Im so critical of his teaching style I want to leave. Also pretty insulting if you don't participate because you don't know what's going on. He was not meant to teach. Ever.

He's a good professor, and he really makes an effort to help students who want to learn. He just sometimes rambles about "life lessons" you should learn. All tests are open note, three of them are take-home. I got 100's on all the exams, and the professor still gave me a B+ because I missed classes due to medical reasons. Take him for easy A

Professor Grosscup is an amazing professor. He understands that not everyone has the brain for math and is always willing to help. He has great stories and the class itself isn't worth missing. He may stray away front he subject but it's interesting. BEST teacher!

Boring, miss class and he starts to fail you. Come to class & he'll help you pass. Constant use of the textbook in class. He also rambles a lot, beware. Pretty simple class though

he really likes airplanes and hes a little bit nuts. we spent 45 minutes talking about the importance of paying attention in class because someone was texting. hilarious, easiest class ive ever taken if you can deal with his lack of sanity.. probably shouldn't be teaching and may need psychiatric help but thats not relevant to how easy he is

Easy, the class consisted of four exams. Three of them take home, and the final was open book. I got a 100% on everything. No Homework. If you can't get an A, well than it's your own fault. How can you not get a 100% on a take home exam? I would recommend him! He's sooo nice!

Loved him! Very easy! first 2 exams are take home for a week. next one is in class open note open book. the final exam is just open note but he pretty much tells you what to copy from the book because that will be on the exam so i got 100% on the final. Can be boring but if you take notes it will keep you distracted. I would def take him again

Take home tests and open note tests in class. Very easy but SO boring. He likes to go off on tangents about random things. He gets angry sometimes that people aren't interested in math and then yells at us for no reason. Attendance is a piece of paper to sign. Pretty frustrating class to sit through.

He is a really cool teacher. Gives open note/open book/ or take home tests. Attendance is mandatory but its a piece of paper to sign. If you ask him a question on the test he will basically do it for you. He is really nice and understanding.

nutcase! Yes, he gives take home exams and an open note final, but dont take him! He was a real cool guy at the beginning of the semester,but once you fill out his evaluation, he's a totally different person. He's like Jekyll & Hide. Became rude & obnoxious. He gives false grades, it's based on his personal opinion of you, not on your test grades

i fell asleep and i was literally sitting in the front row aisle seat. He reads to himself out of the textbook and expects us to listen. He clears his throat every two seconds. I corrected him everyday. For attendance, he passes around a paper for you to sign your name on. Just get a friend to sign your name for you every other day and take turns!

He's the worst teacher i have ever had. He reads from the textbook the entire class and rarely gives us problems or examples to help clarify. He basically talks to himself the entire period until we have to correct him.

this guy cannot teach, the class is easy but if u are not good in math or cannot teach yourself when or if u on to calculus u will feel as though u never even took prec - he did not even go over domains with my class - how important is that?

Pre-calc. Easiest math class ever all tests are open book, but he goes off topic way to much. Talks about airplanes more than he does math.
