Hank Davis was my favourite professor throughout my whole university experience. His lectures were well thought out and his communication skills exceed those of most profs I've had. I never missed a class because his lectures were too good to miss. Because I never missed, I did well. His classes are one of my fondest memories at UoG.

Comment:

Straight up the best professor I've ever had. He is passionate about what he does and one of the most interesting lecturers I've had the privilege of listening to. I've heard rumours that his controversial lecture content has led to his forced retirement, but I so hope this is not true. It would be a huge loss for the university.

He is an interesting prof and has a lot of interesting stories but thats about it. his exams are very subjective and he uses very flowery wording, i have had him for both psy1100 and psyc3100, the same in both. Its almost impossible to study for exams. stay awwaaayyyy!

I thought he was really interesting and made it worth going to lecture although you mainly have to read the textbook. They were funny if you went to class in a good mood. I got tired of the inappropriate comments pretty fast though.

Hanky Baby is the best teacher in the whole world. If your smart you will take every single one of his classes you possibly can. The only thing you need to do is pay attention and need the textbook to do exams i love him !

He is smart funny and the reason I get up in the morning for class. He says things multiple times in unboring ways to drive the point across so you understand and get high marks. This class is also educational of life's many questions. Very Interesting. I'd recommend IMMEDIATELY! Snipe it quick before other people figure it out.

A lot of other posters are coming on here saying he`s `disrespectful`, but he covered that on like the third day of class when he discussed the conditions for knowledge instead of just belief, and the scientific method. He talks REAL talk. No astrology, no superstition, just science. Mad respect to this man.

Disrespectful attitude, useless digressions, covered some topics ad nauseum, some not at all. Likes to tell students they're wrong, but unwilling to discuss why. Got 91%, it's a bird course, just read the textbook, memorize his examples, and keep your trap shut.

I did not like Davis at all. He went out of his way to put down any kids who were religious or held spiritual beliefs, and half the questions on the midterm/exam were about conversations held in class, as opposed to actual course material. You can understand 100% of the textbook material and still get a 70% because of this. Infuriating.

As myself and a few of my classmates believe, Hank's Teaching Style mainly depends on his attire for the day. When Hank wears colorful clothing, I seem to retain information better. Today however, Hank was wearing dark clothing and a ponytail. He ended up going off on a tangent multiple times and losing my interest completely. =)But he's awesome.

AMAZING! Absolutely incredible professor. I wanted to go to class and was sad when lecture was over. Most interesting professor you will ever have. You NEED to take evolutionary psychology with him, it will change you forever.
