Hans is a phenomenal professor. He is considerably more interested in engaging students than every other professor in the history department (which is why they don't much care for him). More importantly, you really learn from Hans, he's incredibly knowledgable, and is incredibly adept at conveying his knowledge to ANYONE who's willing to try.

One of the best teachers that I have had at Hamilton. A must for any History major or anyone who just wants to take an interesting class with someone who honestly loves to teach. Also, do not let him leave Hamilton. This visiting professor stuff has to end.

What a great guy. I've taken 2 classes with Hans and it has been nothing but a joy. His grading is very fair; you get what you deserve. Everyone here should be lucky enough to take a class with him.

I loved the seminar I took on the History of Witchcraft! So unbelievably cool! A lot of reading, a lot of discussion, and one very very long paper... Hans always had the coolest stories and a great way of making history fun!
