Never before have I been treated as badly as by this teacher. He accused me of lying, and then when it was discovered that he was wrong he never apologized. I would never take a class from him. He has a total disregard for people he doesn't believe are important or even worthwhile. Beware

I have never been reduced to tears by a prof until I took this class. He was rude to me and wouldn't help me when I had questions about his assignments. I dropped education at TWU because of Van Brumm and my life is so less stressful now.

A great teacher, his book is practical and clear, maybe a bit too idealistic, in the real world teaching has many constraints, time, student volume, many pressures. You will learn a lot from him, his class was definitely a highlight for me!

Love, love, love this man! He really knows his stuff...hey, he literally wrote the textbook! I think he's a tough but fair marker and his assignments are practical, not just busy work. Very helpful if you take the time to go to his office and chat with him.
