As long as you put the effort in and keep up with all of the readings it's a fairly easy class. He's a nice guy and wants you to do well.

If ever there was a professor that needed to retire, this would be him. His marking is all over the place, completely inconsistent. Course has virtually nothing to do with psychology and includes reading two awful books. Total waste of class time. Will interrupt your presentations with nonsensical comments. A ridiculous amount of requirements.

He expects a lot of students and you need to read the textbook before class. He does clicker quizzes and has online assignments which were helpful for keeping up in the course. Initally I wasn't a fan, but as the year went on he became my favourite prof. 4 tests and an exam. He's tough but he cares about his students. Highly recommend.

4 tests, 1 exam, no reviews, no homework, tons of reading, asked how to prepare for the exam, all he could say was read the textbook front to back (800 pages). tests/exams just consisted of very difficult multiple choice. lectures kind of all over the place, not very approachable.

I liked Professor Strub because he let us bring a cheat sheet into every exam (except for the final) which I found extremely helpful. His clicker quizzes were good because they forced me to read my textbook and become familiar with the material. I don't love his personality, but I didn't mind his class.

He's very strict and unapproachable. He makes things much more difficult than they need to be; those ridiculous name plates for example. He allows no electronics in his classroom, and yet a good portion of the class is done online. Not to mention those terrible clicker quizzes we have to take every class. Avoid him if possible, he's a bad cookie.

I liked Strub. He's a smart man who can articulate his thoughts quite well. His class was always looked forward to. He can be short/dismissive with some people, and at times may come off as "superior". But, those small issues aside, he is good at his job.

I don't understand why people don't like Strub. Yes he doesn't let people goof off in class. Yes he expects a lot from you. Yes you have to work in his class. Why are those bad things when you're a University student? Strub genuinely cares about his students and is passionate about what he does. If you truly want to learn something take his class!

The only reason to not like him is because he does not allow students to be on their phones. He gives awesome lectures and is passionate about Psychology. Genuinely cares about his students and is not afraid to embarrass the morons who distract the students who are trying to pay attention. He is a GREAT Prof for GREAT students, not for slackers!

I am unsure why students are blaming their lack of interest on the Professor. Any student with genuine interest and any kind of drive would easily be able to read the text (AWESOME READ!). Strub is a GREAT professor. He does not allow any BS in his class which is refreshing. If you want to sit on your cell phone during INTRO, find a different prof!

Not a good professor, made me hate pychology,he gives no reviews for the tests, multiple choice questions on tests are impossible, lectures are boring and he goes off topic, the clicker quizes are dumb, bonus work is pointless and do not make up for test scores, I recomend chosing a different professor if you are interested in pychology.

Very knowledgable and always willing to talk about course material if you ask. Tests are largely based on text book. He sparked my love for psychology and I am now an Hons Psych student! Don't take his class if you're just looking for an easy mark 'cause it just won't happen. You need to put the work in. Show up to class for clicker questions!
