Fantastic prof. He really knows what he is talking about. He is a very highly respected historian, and has even written a biography of MLK Jr.

I've never been so engaged in a history class in my life. However, ALL grading and work structure is dependent on your TA.

This man really knows what he is talking about. He gives great lectures and actually allowed me to enjoy history for once and really look forward to the next class. The assignments are not bad at all.

Sitkoff is VERY enthusiastic about his subject. Every lecture he gives a speach for the entire period, most of which comes from his heart/head rather than from his notes. He lived through many historic times, like Vietnam and the Civil Rights movement, so he is very insightful. Grading for the course is more dependent on your TA. Actually, 100% so.

Its an easy gen-ed. I have no interest in history but the class went by fast and the recitations werent too bad but that might depend on which TA you have.

Sitkoff is pretentious at best and a damned liar at worst. By the way he talks in his Vietnam class, you would think he was Robert McNamara.

A comment on his service "in Vietnam," he did serve during Vietnam; he fact enlisted in the early 1960's. The Dept of Defense would actually classify him as having served "in the Vietnam era." So perhaps he exaggerated, but did not lie

Used to claim in his Vietnam War class that he'd served in Vietnam. (He didn't, and no longer makes that claim.) Will waste 2/3 of your class time playing hippie music and soliciting your response thereto.
