Comment:

Dr. Howlader's accent can be difficult to understand at first, but you will get used to it. Tests are essentially the same as the assignments. He is extremely happy to help answer questions outside of class time. Textbook was not used enough to warrant purchasing it. He also brings fun facts to class as a fun way of starting each class.

Comment:

Oof I took stats for credits because it was reccommended for my degree, and I honestly learned more in applied math in high school. Not accessible, hard to understand, has a tendency to giggle, mumble, and skip important notes. His method of lecturing is also flawed, as his skill with the projector causes material to be out of focus or off-screen.

Rough class. Difficult to understand and very scatter-brained. Plus, when I going to ask for help or asking questions in the lectures, he makes you look stupid. Just tough to work with overall. Big key: Do practice questions and study the concepts.

Howlader is a great prof. He explains things well, all of his tests are very easy and straight forward as long as you do the homework. Sometimes his writing is hard to read but you can usually figure it out.

He tends to have a temper issue and when you ask him to clarify during class when he asks if we understand, he will talk to you as if you're stupid. He makes many simple mistakes and will then blame the class for 'distracting' him.

Tried to ask for help but he didn't understand why we couldn't understand, so he refused to help. Replaced his first grader in favour of a more difficult grader. Had to use a tutor to get a good grade.

Professor Howlader is very distinugished, teniored, experienced and most of all knowledgeable. He knows his place in the university really well and puts alot of effort into his students. His open door policy is very different amongst others professors. I was a C student in mathematics in highschool and got an A in this class.

Assignments, tests, and final exam are very straight forward if you spend a bit of extra time studying outside of class. He is a good prof but my only complaints are his writing was very small, and he would leave sections completely up to you to read in the textbook w/ no notes since he was running out of time at the end of the course.

Very friendly and very helpful, Prof. Howlader is also very accommodating. He teaches in a very organized manner and is very knowledgeable. Class questions don't go over very well but one on one help is excellent.

Besides being a little distracted and making mistakes here and there, Hatem is an awesome prof. You need to attend, some stuff isn't in the text. Assignments are easy, examples are helpful, tests are a cake-walk. Apparently he has to make tests harder, everyone does too well XD

do assignments, go to class, spend an hour out of class looking through the book and you got an A. Clear lecture notes, gives good examples, goes a little fast at times but generally easy to keep up with. to top it all off, probably the best dressed teacher at school.

goes slow and the class is easy to keep up with if you have other classes that require more work. Great guy, gives easier tests and will give you more marks on questions withoug much hassle, You just have to talk to him. If you are not a big math person, this is the class for you.

Howlader's very sweet as a prof. and always helping his students out in and out of class. He starts every class on a light note by entertaining his students w/ "did you know" type facts which he calls "little tidbits"! Stats isn't easy but Howlader does all he can to make it as little confusing as he can.

This class is super easy, and its easy to end up behind in the work. If you don't keep up with the stuff, you'll deeply regret it. Helps to have a knowledge of calculus before taking it, but no big deal if you don't. His accent is tricky and he's often unclear about stuff... work ahead/keep up at least.

This prof is a genious. He understands the material is dry, and makes up for that by starting each class with jokes and facts. His lectures are very detailed. Study the assignments he gives, get an A!
