I am good in CATIA, and I thought this class was going to make the difference. I was wrong. You learn, you progress in CATIA, but the grade you get is not worth all your effort you put into the course. Trust me, don't take her. If you want to learn more about CATIA just buy the advanced catia textbook. That's all you need. Good Luck!

Oh dear god. I cannot believe I made it out of this class alive. Expect to be assigned literally about eight hours of homework every week. This includes drafting and tutorials. Tutorials are LITERALLY worse than visiting hell itself. There is a final which counts a whole letter grade and midterm. This final takes about 20 hours of work. Stay away!

Despite being manditory, it was my favorite class in my 1st semester. At times was unable to asnwer semi-simple questions regarding projects that SHE assigned.Gave pop quiz questions that were irrelevant and unreasonable, which affected grade, but projects made up for it.However, always willing to help during office hours.

Tutorials are the devil! she grades very strictly and you have to do everything perfectly. Even if your solid model looks exactly like it should, you will get points taken off for having too many steps in your spec tree. good at teaching and explaining, just really strict on grading...

Take this professor if you have no idea what a circle is and enjoy 4-6 hours of homework a week. She teaches the material in a very methodical fashion. If you already have any drafting experience or are just good at seeing shapes, don't take her. Also, she assigns tutorials every week that make you want to commit hari-kari. Don't take her.

Well, Professor Steinhauer is a rather difficult professor. Although she may be an expert at drafting and whatnot, she is not helpful at all. She expects near-perfect work, so it is difficult to earn an A, and she is very strict on answers to pop quizzes. I do not recommend this professor because she is unenthusiastic and annoyingly sarcastic.

horrible teacher...guys get B's, girls get A's...EGR120 is one of the easiest classes offered at riddle but once you get her in upper level, dont expect to get much sleep because of all the work, it is amazing when she states at the start of teacher evals...and i quote "dont write you hate me! say you hate me and then tell me why"...unbelieveable

nice teacher. YOU WILL LEARN A LOT! lots of hw, and kinda strict grading. comes off as strict but if u try and show you care, you will do fine. you will definatly do better in this class if youve had a CADD background, and if you've had drafting experience. explainations are kinda hard to understand, but BY FAR the most knowledgeable teacher.

People that complain about Steinhauer are lazy and have no work ethic. Had this class my first semester for for EGR 120, as long as you do the work and try the class is simple. Very clear in explanation, hard but you'll learn Catia better then with any other teacher. I'd highly reccomend her for your higher level classes as well as this one.
