Comment:
This class is different from other eng. classes as it emphasizes communicating in a clear, concise, and accurate manner. It's a lot of work and you should take time ASAP with your team to figure out the details of your team project. I strongly recommend getting her feedback on assignments and presentations and asking questions as it helps a lot.

This course is a ton of work -- make no mistake about it. Be sure to attend class! Somewhat agree with other raters -- not always clear in what she expects and often seems to grade subjectively. She works hard for the students, though, and could have been much worse! Work hard, show her you care, get feedback, and you should do fine (I got an A-).

Horrible. She is so unclear. Even if you do exactly what is asked from her in her assignment guidelines, you will still receive a C. She will send you feedback on a rough draft and even know you corrected it exactly how she asked, you will get a poor grade. Take it in the summer with a different prof and you get an easy A, for half the work.

How well you fare in the class is not just on the prof. It's up to you as well to pick great partners to work with, since they will be your partners for the term-long project. Just follow the marking scheme and get a good grade. The work is very extensive. Perhaps take it in the summer without any other courses. You'll focus better that way.

She's always there for you when you need help. She's very strict with marking stuff and she teaches you to be very thorough and know what to write on your reports and what not to. If you follow her guidelines you will get an amazing grade in her class and notice a difference in your English writing.

The worst prof i ever had. She is confusing and doesn't even know what she wants from her students. She doesn't acknowledge how hard a student works. The whole semester I worked my ass off for this course and I even then I ended up getting a bad grade. And all those who rated her as hot, i don't know what you see in her. she is way too old. -___-

The best ever! Was there for us until the very end. Strict but always diplomatic and fair. Show up to every class, do all the work, pace yourself, and you will sail right through the course! Works really hard for the students and wants nothing less than for everyone to succeed and get an A (which is very much doable btw). Really pretty, too! ;-)

Probably the best prof to teach this course. She works very hard for the students to help them learn. Strict but always fair: she wants you to learn. Super considerate and caring prof. Follow her guidelines, take her feedback on assignments to heart, and you will succeed! Oh and gorgeous, too :-)

If you take the class seriously, get feedback on all the assignments and actually try, this class is a breeze. Professor Triantafellou is an excellent and hard working professor, and is very helpful if you actually try to do well. I don't understand why people hate CCDP!

CCDP is a rite of passage... you just do it! =D. Good prof. I'm not sure who designed the course; but I would have appreciated a more rigid structure to it; i.e. denser lectures. All in all, do the stuff and you'll be fine. Good luck!

Is unclear about what she wants from assignments. I found she will simply decide what type of mark you deserve from talking to you outside of assignments and presentations. Gave me back assignments with marks and no comments.

First did not make any effort to understand the class dynamics. After she received feedback, she took that into account, and changed her teaching accordingly. For assignments, definitely get her feedback. She was also known for changing the assignment requirements and not telling everyone. Make sure you read her formatting & reference requirements!

Extreme consequences for actions that would usually go almost unnoticed. For a communications professor, she doesn't communicate very well. Doesn't properly listen to student answers in class.

The course material is REALLY dull. But don't blame Helen for that, blame the Engineering department. Thankfully they're changing the course in a year or two to a third year course more geared toward the fourth year project. Helen is very soft spoken, but classes are small so you can hear her anyways. It took her a while to hand back assignments.

The class is not hard to pass, but it is hard to get anything past a B. I've foudn that in terms of written assignments/reports, she is VERY nitpicky, but she seems more lenient for oral presentations. Advised to get her feedback before hadning something in, because she'll weed out all those minor things that could really pull down your mark.
