Dr. Rustogi is the best overall teacher I have at UT. He is genuine and cares about the success of his students. He does not teach directly from the textbook instead he prepares you for the real world with real world examples. He is hard but if you work at it youll be fine.

You either love or hate Dr. Rustogi. I personally did not really like him, he is inappropriate and offensive most of the time. He's very realistic tho, lets you out early, provides powerpoint slides, and works closely with your group. FYI- Tests are all essay only with around 5 parts per question.

He gets a bad rap becuse he calls it as he sees it. He is a wonderful, helpful teacher who focuses on student learning. People who **** about him do so because he holds them accountable. Very little middle ground with him - you either love him, or hate him. Loves the students and cares about thier learning. You go Dr.R!!

He's really not as bad as everyone here has written. He tells you straight up on day one- this is a hard class. People rarely get A's. If you work your ass off, you will do well. He's not tricking you, it's a hard subject in general. Nice guy though and he does understand that students hate stats.
