Decent guy, but insanely difficult grader. Does not allow for any mistakes when grading. When you turn something in you better give it your all and then you might get a high B.

Overall, I respect Dr. Berg. He is a very intelligent man with a funny sense of humor. His lectures can be a bit dry, and his tests are very difficult. However, if you have good work ethic you will be fine. He is also always there for help and responds to emails quickly. He's also a VERY fast grader, which I love.

Dr. Berg is without a doubt my favorite professor at UNCW. He has so much knowledge about international stuff and is always willing to help you if any of the topics are confusing. Tests are straightforward, as long as you go to class and use the study guide. Take his classes if you can!

He is a very hard professor. All he talks about is Canada and Diet Coke. Sometimes you don't even know how he got off topic. His test are extremely hard, he does give study guides but there is so much material to know it's difficult. Class is boring and irrelevant.

One of my favorite professors, in and out of the classroom. If you're having problems, he'll happily meet with you in or out of office hours. His tests are hard, but if you utilize his study guide, you're golden. Seriously USE IT(I never use them). I don't know any other department heads that throw meet and greets for his majors.

My favorite professor at UNCW without a doubt. The class itself is a hell of a lot of information and there are several papers due throughout the semester, while this was the most challenging course I have taken it is my favorite. Berg is ALWAYS available to help, he gives you the most detailed guides for the tests, and is absolutely hysterical.

One of the BEST professors at UNCW, if not the best. He actually cares about his students and takes the time to make sure they learn and benefit from his class. His tests are not that hard- as long as you review the detailed study guide he hands out well in advance, it's honestly an easy A. I highly recommend him!

berg is a great professor. He moves really quick in class, but If you basically write everything, youll do well on the tests. Be sure to write the things he says, not just the notes on the powerpoints. He makes funny jokes though. And youll learn alot about canadian immigrants.

Tests are impossible, but he openly admits that's what he strives for. Nice guy, very amicable, just an overall boring class... Thought I would learn more about individual countries and culture, but it was mostly focused on global politics and economics... Yawn.

Dr. Berg's tests are difficult, but if you take good notes you'll be fine. He makes lectures interesting and has a good sense of humor. Attendance isn't required, but you'll miss a lot of information if you're absent. After this course, I am incredibly interested in JCI and want to change my major! He's tough, but a great teacher. And he's hott.

What a great class and great professor. Dr. Bergs sense of humor is dry and cunning. It did not matter what the topic of the day was, I knew I was going to laugh and learn.

I hated his Judaism, Christianity and Islam class. I've never had a religious background and it was very hard to follow along with his lecture. there are no notes and the book doesnt make sense. don't take this class if you've never set foot in a church. and the tests are hard!!

Dr. Berg is a great professor. He wears tshirts and jeans and his sense of humor seems to outweigh his scholarly background, however his knowledge of religion is very apparent. As long as it isn't diminutive, almost nothing is out of bounds in discussion. For JCI there are 3 tests and 3 essays. All six are challenging but engaging. Berg is great.

Berg is an excellent lecturer who is very clear and understandable. He has a great and engaging personality and has a very naughty sense of humor. It's very hard to do poorly in this class provided you go to it. He pretty much tells you the answers to the test through his lectures. He can be irreverant, but he is not trying to be offensive.

Really good professor. He's really laid back and chill. His tests are hard because they're subjective, so just make sure you use a lot of vocabulary words in your essay questions.
