If you like "independent study", then take social psych with him. All you have to do is read the book and you'll get a decent grade. 90% of his test questions (as crazy, weird, and random as they are) come from the text, 5% from class example, and the other 5% i can't figure out where he got it from, but hey, it's do-able.

Good teacher, clear, detailed lectures. Good examples... Not recommended though esp for non-majors. 60min exams with 70 mult-choice questions and WORDY. Being a good teacher goes out the window because his tests don't grade your performance with any amount of precision. Exams ask way too much for undergrads, especially those outside of the major.

4 multiple choice exams, questions taken largely from the textbook and examples done in class... the material is incredibly interesting, which makes it easy to read the book. Fink adds humor and insight, which make lectures more enjoyable. I would recommend to anyone interested.

This man is the worst teacher I have ever had. I am a 4.0 student and I can barely get a B in this class. His tests are impossible and he is very rude.

I thought that he was a great professor! It was a REALLY easy grade, just some quizzes and 2 page lab papers. He's a good guy, tries to make the class as interesting as possible. He was really willing to help whenever needed. The curriculum was recently changed, so the material is more interesting now and its an easy class.

Dr. Fink was a great professor, I don't know why everyone is saying such bad things, the man knows what he is talking about and he teaches it well. Take this class you will learn a ton and actually be able to apply it to your own life.

He was an awful teacher who never wanted to help anyone. His tests were riduclious and you had to memorize the book to even get half of the questions on the test right. The other half you had to pray you stayed awake in class to even try to decide which one of the stupid answers it was on his test. Good luck to anyone who takes this class-

hey, everyone puts this guy down but he's really not bad. sure the class can be boring, but he's a nice older guy that still seems really excited about teaching. test material is intense, but know the studies/experiemtns he mentions and you'll do fine.

Oh man, don't get him as a teacher. He is easily distracted, moves from one topic to another without finishing what he was first talking about, he doesn't offer a study guide on angel or in class, basically you're on your own if you want some help, he doesn't remember where he left off so he will sometimes repeat what has already been covered.

People who put the Finkster down simply haven't realized the secret of his class: read the book, and know it well. I got a 97 or above on all four tests, and it's because I simply knew the book material pretty well. Oh, and he's not a jerk like people say. He's just a little absent-minded and a little weird. Personally, I hope to have him again.

Great teacher. Easy to pay attention to class becuase he tries to get everyone involved. Tests are hard. Must read text and go over chapters more than once. I would recommend this class but not if your not willing to put some effort in it

I thought this class would be fun...oh was I WRONG! Class is a ridiculous waste of time and tests are impossible to do well on(even if you do every possible practice test, read the book, attend class, and take notes). He speaks in monotone and makes ridiculous faces to get you to try to enjoy class.
