Professor May was a very interesting person to listen to. We talked about a lot of topics that I had never thought about before. She was somewhat scatterbrained and we fell behind the syllabus by a couple weeks, but overall I learned a lot.

She is extremely vague and jumps from one topic to another, which can make it very confusing to follow. Oftentimes, we did not get to the "meat" of the work until 40 minutes into class, which were spent discussing her personal life or events coming up at CMU.

Great teacher! Very helpful. I had her for an online class and she responded quickly to emails and was willing to help where you needed it. Online tests were very easy and the workload was pretty easy as well

Hope was my favorite teacher my freshman year! The whole class is lecture, but it is also a lot of whole class discussion. There is no textbook but you read one book throughout the whole semester. If you read the book, show up for class, and pay attention, it's an easy A. Attendance and catching mistakes she has made are extra credit!

Best class I've taken at Central! The material is interesting and really not that difficult. It applies to every day life and you get a lot of great stories. Highly recommend!

I loved this class. While sometimes it could be a bit boring, it opened my eyes to a lot of issues. Hope is nice and gets straight to the point. If you go to class to get the EC, do the assignments and study for the tests you're fine. It's nothing too strenuous and definitely worth the time. :)

Hope is a nice lady, but theres alot that she doesnt share with you. Not very open to students, and refuses to have students email her.Hopes exams are not difficult because she gives a study guide. EC is available as well for attendence and participation. Turned into a law class...so if you dont like law dont take class with her (shes a lawyer).

Don't bother buying the book - the notes taken in class will allow you to ace the exams. Kind of a weird lady but in a good way I guess. HW is graded very hard and if she doesn't like your opinion, you will get it wrong so just agree with her. 3 exams and 5-6 HWs. Bases her class around her husband - you'll see why. Best of the PHL's

Hope is a great teacher, her lectures are very interesting and she keeps things fresh. Lot of in class notes, but they are extremely beneficial for the exams. She maps out what you need to study for with her reviews. Take her!

Awesome teacher, loves what she is doing and you pick up on that right away. Her enthusiasm for philosophy made a subject I had no interest in tolerable and maybe even interesting. Definitely recommend her.

The most overrated professor at CMU. This is not the way to teach an Ancient Philosophy class. It's about writing, not drawing diagrams.

I went into this class expecting it to be a bunch of debates, and conflicting opinions. It was so much more than that, in fact there wasn't much debating at all. This a class you can really take something out of and apply it to life. Hope is an extremely intelligent and successful woman.

Cool and intelligent professor. Perhaps too smart to be teaching a 100 level course. Gets side-tracked easily, which makes for many half-filled out worksheets at the end of the semester. Overall, good professor but the class ends up being more about law, which I have zero interest in, than moral issues.

Very cool and smart professor. Probably too smart to teach a 100 level course. Gets side-tracked easily and you end the semester with many half-filled out worksheets for the exam and more knowledge about law than Moral Problems. Overall, good professor, not too much work, sort of frustrating around exam time bc notes are scattered all over.

Amazing professor! The class really made me think and has the potential to sway anyone's opinion. She teaches very well and relates to modern events. Doesn't talk down to students and really wants you to learn. I absolutely loved this class, and I recommend it to everyone
