Howie is great. Keep all the handouts and use them to write your programs and to study and you will be fine. The exams are hard, but if you pay attention and don't rush through them you'll be okay. I would take him again.

mr. edelman is a great prof. i was glad to have him in my first computer course here at wcu. nice guy who tries his best to make you understand the material. this class should be an easy A-, especially if you're a computer major.

Mr. Edelman is a good professor in a way. he is great at the office like a review below me says. he says random funny jokes. gives basically everything on handouts, so don't need to take notes all the time. i'll probably be meeting with him when it's time for my internship. nice guy. Comp. sci. is my major, so I like the class, esp. Howie teaching.

Wow. Loved computers until i took this class. Got A's for the first 2 weeks and then stright downhill. Tough Tests, Quizes, and programs (at the end). Final accounts for 25% of total grade. Great one on one in the office, he seems like hes a good guy deep down.

I had Prof Edelman in the late '80s, early '90s. I know, I am dating myself but he was very very helpful. He got me my first job is the CS field for my internship and I stayed at that job for 10 years. His classes were very informative and I would have to say he helped make my career what it is today. :-)

im not in the major so i hate csc, i failed it last year with that dead corpse milito & so i had to take it again and i took it with edelman...he warned you from the first day that it was goin to be hard so if you stuck with it, and came to his office hours, and class--youd be fine. so i worked my ass off and i got to replace that nasty F wit a B+

Don't listen to the non major people. Hes a great professor, good at teaching people who actually wanna learn comp sci. Go to class, get the handouts and you will be fine. He tells really bad jokes. Great advisor. If you get a chance take his classes. Do some work and you will get an A or B.

Prof Edelman rocks, he is the handout howie. All his notes come on handouts and are easily understood. If you are a non major you shouldn't be taking anything higher then 110 anyhow. Any major student, Prof Edelman is the way to go.

I never took another lecture of his after the first day. I was lost during his lecture and withdrew from his course. Word of advice: Be sure to take CSC115 or 110 b4 CSC141. I started w/141 and it was a HUGE mistake!
