I would have to say Dr. Fackrell was one of the most inspirational and most caring professors Ive had. The subject matter taught is demanding but his door is always open. Awesome Prof. Doesnt answer e-mails but get over it and go to his office..thats the point. There is alot of information in Micro. Make charts and study its not his fault hes teaching a tough course required by dumb nurses. Best prof Ive had at the University level after 4 years of school

Terrible! He knows what he's talking about and he loves what he does, which is great, but he tries to squeeze in every bacterium, fungus, and virus into a 3 month course! He says he's afraid to leave anything out b/c if a family member gets sick, he'd feel bad if we couldn't treat them.. what?! He doesn't respond to email and his office hours suck

Amazing Prof!!!!! He is so interesting and clearly loves what he does. He is extremely intelligent and very helpful!! Easy to talk to as well! Very interesting research as well!!

I find it difficult to see why people dislike the man so much, he's clearly extremely intelligent and if something is unclear he can clearly explain it personally. The classes were genuinely interesting, and the guy is funny. Anyone that says he's boring must have a short attention span. Overall, he wasn't easy, he's just not a spoon feeder.

Worst Prof Ever!!! his lectures are sooo boring. dont bother going to class. his voice is monotone and makes you want to fall asleep. he doesnt cover half the stuff for midterms or exams in class. his midterms and final exam go into so much detail that you have to memorize everything in the textbook. if you dont need this class, dont take it.

Really great prof, loved his class! I actually liked showing up to lectures, and I found that classes went by quick. His midterms are straightforward and fair if you actually study. He's very approachable, very nice, and he actually KNOWS what he's talking about and is very into the field that he teaches. =)

The worst prof ever. I don't understand how people can say that they enjoy the class and his teaching. Going to class is useless, he doesn't explain anything, labs are VERY disorganized. Tells you that stuff is due at the last minute and never follows his course outline... in fact, his course outline never even closely resembles what we do in class

He takes genuine interest in learning his students' names. I learnt absolutely nothing in either of these courses. There is no need to attend classes; just read the book. Labs were disorganized, but the final project was quite enjoyable (238) but 242 labs were pointless.

I have taken two of this prof's classes now and still cannot figure out how to do well. Memorizing the notes doesn't work, memorizing the textbook doesn't work. However, memorizing the Mulitple choice questions for the final REALLY helps, as well as definitions for the final. Most of the M/C questions are identical to previous years' exams.

If you go to class and study his notes, you will fail the course miserably. If you don't go to class and study the stuff on the cd, you can get 100%. He's probably the most disorganized professors EVER. Nothing ever lines up with him... DO NOT buy the brock textbook for 55-238 no matter what he says... DO NOT EVER BUY IT...go with the Tortora book.

DON'T GO TO CLASS!! it is a waste of time. i unfortunately did go to class and nothing he says will help you do well on any sort of test. all he does is promote his other classes and talk about how great he is. instead stay home and do the questions he gives you and read the textbook and you'll do great and learn too!
