Very dry lectures where the prof will dance around a main idea and never quite get to the point. My exam is tomorrow and I still can't tell you the general idea of the course.

An extremely nice guy. Very helpful, especially in office hours. Course content very interesting, but lectures are sometimes hard to follow. All in all, a good class.

I would recommend that anyone thinking of taking this class have some basic knowledge of economics (i.e. first-year economics). Wallace is a decent prof, but his lecturing style is quite tedious and often doesn't convey much information. My suggestion would be to pay more attention to the textbook and slides than to him.

Absolutely useless! I sat in my seat shaking my head. He is the most unclear and stagnant speaker I have ever listened to. It was ridiculously hard to take notes because you can't figure out what he is trying to convey. Each lecture was completely unrelated to the last. His exams have 0% relation to the topics covered. AVOID!!!!

Took this on TV. Did a fairly good job at engaging the TV students and "talking" to them. Was unclear about some details like essay deadlines. Did not respond to emails. TAs discussions on WebCT were helpful. Class was mostly interesting, boring at times. Sometimes seemed a bit full of himself with all his stuffy education, but a smart guy.

I really enjoyed this class and this professor. I found him very entertaining and personable. He told interesting and relevant stories, never used any notes and cover what I thought was a lot of territory. Although I did this course on ITV I felt very connected. Great professor!

I'm in my fourth year, and this was my most hated class. He was very unclear as to the goals of the course. Very economically based, tough to grasp if you have no background in economics, history or politics. Marking on assignments was unclear and unfair. TA's were no help, prof doesn't answer emails. Try to avoid if possible; very disappointing.

Oh god. This class was terrible. Assignments were ridiculously easy and tutorials were wastes of life. I went to the first 2 classes and then couldn't be bothered to go. Used old exams to study for final ... zero effort was rewarded with an A

Watch out if you are a VOD student!Every paper I sent him, I needed to re-send because he never got it the first time. It's now 2 weeks to the exam and he doesn't even remember getting 2 of my papers. When you email him to remind him, he will generally not respond. This prof is extremely hard to deal with if you are a VOD student.

Yea this guy is pretty bad. He rambles on and on and on instead of just making a simple point. Tries to sound too intelligent, but loses the class in the process. You'll be looking for an exit within the first 10 minutes

Good guy, obviously is quite knowledgeable and knows his stuff. But extremely BORING, especially for a CUTV class. Too many times I was tempted to change the channel...
