Amazing professor. Cares about the well being of all his students. Everything that is assigned in class for homework is well reviewed and explained the next course. He is humorous, sweet and gives such easy tests! Always gives tests with multiple questions and asks you to answer maybe 5 of the 7. Super easy grader, but you must have proper spelling

So he was an easy prof teaching an enjoyable class. After every book we had to have a quiz on it and it was worth like 5% & just easy marks. One question you will always have is WHAT IS THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE TITLE! His essays & tests are a little harder so the only advise I have is get you ish editted! He is awesome!

Amazing prof! Once you get to know him, you'll see that he's very passionate about what he's teaching and very helpful. He does make fun of students (once in a while), but they clearly deserve it. In a 3rd year course, you should at least know your PRESENT TENSE PEOPLE!! Take his class, show him you care about the course and you will be just fine!

Nice guy but repetitive teaching method, doesn't go over important things before tests/assignments and expects you to know what he wants.

Overall, very easy class which also happened to be interesting most of the time. The prof goes very slow with his explanations and makes sure that everyone understands, which on the downside can be boring for those who are quick at picking up concepts. He comes to class prepared and cares a lot for his students and their achievement.

A very good professor, one of the few that I've seen at York. Must study the textbook and the spelling of words before tests to actually do well. He only speaks French during class, thus you're better able to get used to listening to the language.

You have obviously incorrectly read and then judged what someone else posted here. You've decided that this person is 'wrong.' Being"belittled" and "initiatives" are two different entities entirely. Everyone is entitled to their opinion; that's why this message board exists.

Prof Badr is an amazing educator. He tries his best to help students not only understand grammatical concepts, but also focuses on proper pronounciation. He marks very fairly, expects initiative, and instills a great atmosphere in the class. If you want a prof who cares, definitely take a class with him. This class just ended and I already miss it!

Prof Badr is an amazing educator. He tries his best to help students not only understand grammatical concepts, but also focuses on proper pronounciation. As seen below, some students may take these initiatives as being "belittled" but that is definitely not what I experienced. He marks very fairly, but expects adequate initiative. Take his class :)

Ten years or so after taking the intro to french literature course with Prof Badr I still remember him. I was so happy when he won a university-wide teaching award. His level of caring had an impact that I still feel today and that I impart on my own students. Prof Badr you were so inspirational to me that I became a French teacher!Merci beaucoup!
