The thing with this professor is he doesn't expect much from his students. He lectures straight from the book - all examples same from book. His accent is fine, no big deal. Extra credit is every Monday and they're fairly sraightfoward. Final was 8 pages I think... I suggest you take another professor because you are basically teaching yourself.

If you MUST take this professor, be prepared to learn from the book. His lectures are unhelpful. His quizzes and test are not so bad if you have been religiously doing the homework on your own, and you never fall behind on it. Otherwise, take another instructor, ANY other instructor, if you can. Okay his heavy accent can be very hard to understand, but other then that he is NOT as BAD as people think. He is very straight forward. I mean it is a MATH class so there are going to be a lot of information and concepts especially in this class. As long as you do your part and study, you'll do FINE. His quizzes are xtra credit!!! i recommend him

I graduated from SJSU long time ago with great distinction, but I still remember this prof as one of the worst in my life. He is not prepared for classes. He made mistakes in his problem solving that confused his students. I am very surprised he is still being kept by the department. AVOID this prof.

If you like guys with thick accents, then this is the guy. He understands the material but doesnt know how to teach it. Either you learn it on your own or find someone to teach you, because he isnt helpful. His test is fair but you must study or you will fall behind.

Horrible teacher. Don't bother coming to class cause you won't learn much. He just does examples out of the book too fast to comprehend. Then his tests aren't like anything in the book and he is a really bad on partial credit. DON'T TAKE HIM, unless you have to.

i dont know why everyone hates the guy so much. he does have an accent, and he hates it when people ask questions, but i think he did a good job teaching the material. i got a B+ in the class and i barely tried. to help the class out, he turned the quiz points into extra credit so we ended up getting alot of extra credit.

He LOVES using fractions and it really annoys me. He makes the problems more complicated than it really is and messes up occasionally in the middle and has to backtrack. Exams were fairly easy and straight forward. Some questions were very time consuming because of the many fractions. Easy grader. Random quizzes. 2 midterms and a final. Some E/c

Worst teacher I have ever taken. He get's stuck on the easiest problems and just stands there staring at the board. He is so hard to understand and his voice can put anyone to sleep. I have to retake this class now, so I don't recommend taking him.
