Comment:
Dr. Lee's teaching style definitely takes a learning curve. Her encouragement is difficult to identify, so be prepared to never know when you're doing well or poorly in her eyes. Overall, the course is difficult, but more due to the vast amount of material covered than Dr. Lee's teaching! Be prepared to put in a ton of work in this course...

Classes are 4 days a week and one/two of them are focused on speaking practice, so if you don't have ways of frequent/effective practice outside of class, these are pretty helpful. Korean is particularly difficult to learn, so you definitely have to put an exceptional amount of effort outside of and in class if you plan on doing well.

she's alright, i took korean intensive with her and i did find it quite challenging considering it was my first time learning an asian language. She's really friendly and has a great sense of humor but is quite demanding. Korean isn't an easy language so you definitely have to take it seriously if you want to do well in it.

One of the nicest profs you'll ever meet. She tries her best to help her students learn Korean as a foreign language, especially since that's her research interest. She's actually really friendly when you get to know her, unlike what many say about her.

It took me a while to get used to her teaching style, but as time went by, I began to really like her and I always took advantage of her office hours. You should too because it's unbelievable how much you can learn outside of the classroom! Now she's got me interested in taking more korean courses!
