Comment:

Irv was one of the few amazing teachers at College. His pace was faster than the others that I have to admit; however, his lectures absolutely gave me great sense of what I had been leaning in the course, and he was very specific on his feedback for your exams or assignments. His course literally requires your efforts but it's all worth it.

Show up to class, all his test questions are from his lectures and not from the book. I think people who complain about him are those who like skipping class. His tests are hard but if you really listen during his lectures, you will be fine.

You don't even need to read a text book because non of test questions will be from there, meaning if you don't come to class, you will not pass this. His lectures are pretty useful actually, but his test is very hard.

Horrible teacher, doesn't explain enough, no such a thing called use of technology in class, other than a slide with two words written on them, horrible marker, as when you show him that the answer you wrote is in the book, he still won't care and you still get a 0. This guy shouldn't be a teacher at Seneca, or any other school!

He is such a person that looks so serious and tough; however, he is a nice and generous people. If you can follow his striation and listen carefully in his class, you will be satisfied with it. Although, I didn't got a higher mark, I still think he is generous for marks.

As long as you attend class, pay attention, and write long detailed answers that explore all answers (not just the "correct" one) on the exammidterms you will pass his class. Don't bother asking him questions though, he might bite your head off.

He is quite rude to anyone that does not speak perfect English as well. The book is also not used at all in class. Mr. Ash goes as far as saying not to use it at all and that the information in the book is wrong. Questions in class are down right shot down and given no consideration all the while making you feel like an idiot.

I am in complete agreement with every singe comment on here about asking questions. Be prepared for him to answer you in a very condescending, belittling way. If he answers you at all. He is clearly a very intelligent man. It is a shame that he seems reluctant to pass that knowledge on. Also, textbook=completely useless!

Terrible instructor. He asks if class has questions and if you do ask a question, he treats you like you are a dummy. He asks for a voluntary answer to one of his questions and if he doesn't like your answer he says "I don't know what you are saying. Dropped class and picked it up at night. Wow 180 degree difference.

Although I have had Prof Irv Ash for 4 weeks now, I truly believe that he is a knowledgeable man and cuts to the chase. Everyone needs to looker beyond and understand he only seeks out to see his students succeed. Dont take that the wrong way. Respect him as he is an elder and a wise one to have. Love you ash ! <3

Excellent teacher. Takes his time to review the previous lecture at the beginning of every class and hammers the important stuff home. Expects students to do their readings and doesn't coddle those who don't. Has lots of experience and does a good job explaining difficult concepts.

First of all, this teacher clearly does not want to be in class at all. He cancels our classes just because he wants to 'sleep in'. I cannot stand when teachers complain about why we don't pass when they clearly can't even do their job which is to show up. Postpones some classes for 30 mins in the morning because his sleep is much more important.

Professor Ash is a good teacher. He is very willing to help you if you ask. The class is a touch boring because the material is boring, but he tries to make it intersting.
