Comment:

Professor Nack is one of the true gems at WPU. I took him for many classes as an undergrad and learned much about our country's labor movement and the struggle of ordinary people to succeed. All hail Irwin Nack.

I was a history major during my undergrad at WPU ('00-'04). I took every class I could w/ him. I got an A in each class b/c I wasn't absent, sat in my assigned seat on time, & stayed awake. Pay attn during his sometimes boring, but passionate lectures & use that in your essays for the midterm & final. You'll get an A too for not too much work.

Fell asleep in his class like 3 times already. Doesn't read from the book, makes you do useless papers and gives no credit. Requires you to be in class but does not give credit for being there, however will mark u late or absent to count against you. Only gives 2 tests: Midterm and final. If you're smart stay away at all costs! TRUST ME!

Very boring, but he knows his stuff i wouldn't take unless you enjoy history. When you ask him a question he dances around the answers, he gets off topic a lot, but not on good stuff, on random history facts. No surprises on exams, but there is a lot to memorize to do well.

This guy has an extraordinary knowledge base and really puts his best foot foward in class. The films he shows are sometimes boring but all are educational and easy to get something out out of. He has loveingly made history his life's work and always presents little known facts in a surprising way.

Mr Nack is one of the easiest teachers I have ever known. He is boring though so prepare to fall asleep. Bring a crossword puzzle to class just in case. As long as you do all the papers you will get an A.

He is a nice guy. Knows a great deal about his subject HOWEVER he cant keep a correct time line on what he talks about in class but then expects it to be known for the midterm and final. He is easy though, just go to class.
