Isobel is a great professor. She is very smart and very respectful of students. However, I found there to be too many readings in class, and although they were very beneficial, I do feel that a few readings could be cut.

Poor class. Vague in that content is broad and not applicable to the real business world and writing a plan that would work out there. Even though the lecture conversation puts this class above and beyond Comm 100, that is not the case. It is all just an excuse for paperwork.

This class was awful. I don't know if it would be better from another prof or not but the lectures made me want to rip my ears off. What a waste of time. Exact repeat of COMM 100 with, if possible, EVEN LESS DIRECTION. She told us that most of us would never do another SCP (term project). Why the expletive are we doing a useless term project then?!

Poor class and instructor. Very difficult to get good marks, unclear where the class was going and what we were actually supposed to be learning. Take from another instructor or avoid the class if possible.

Mediocre class. Exactly the same as comm 100. She wants you to spit up her ideas on your big project. Inhibits any creativity, as the only chance you have on getting good marks is if you choose a co-operative or something involving CSR. Soooo if your good at bending over backwards to re-produce her words in pretty colors then isobel is for you!

Terrible class. She needs to retire. Unrealistic about business and commerce. Class was a repeat of COMM 100 but wrapped in cheap plastic. Content was all over the place with guest speakers thrown in to introduce us to the whos who in arts not commerce. Marks unrealistic considering content. Take with someone else or complain big time to dept!

This class is another Comm 100 as if one wasn't enough. I got by by sucking up, teaching is terrible, I listened to music and she grinned thinking I loved her droning jumpy lecture.Even the outline was pasted from 100, at least be creative! Should have gone to the other sections cos they learned something from what I hear.

Great prof, especially considering the mostly boring material she's got to work with. She's very nice and will get to know you given the chance. Makes a point of demonstrating the skills she's teaching you about through her own behaviour. I learnt a lot just watching her. But BEWARE do not take the tutorial led by Paul Ross.

People tend to dislike the prof, but i think she is awsome(and continuously happy with the biggest smile ever). And if your one of the 15 out of 300 people that goto lectures she will know you and your marks will generaly be better then others. Lots of work in the class but its not like you have a choice if you take it or not. And make sure you get

FRIENDLY and INTELLIGENT PROF! This class is all about external communications and how many times you can repeat it. Also, this class is marked hard, so dont be crushed if you dont get 70 on the first few assignments!(plus make sure to find a good tutorial leader!)

I can see how this class would be useful, but it's not very interesting. Findlay seems nice, but can be really condescending. Doesn't seem to get along with her TLs. Be prepared to work. Hard.

possibly the worst prof on campus. She thinks that she's the ****z because her resume is supposedly 3 pages long. She also pronounced "says" saa-z rather than see-z. She's one messed up girl.

You have to take this class for commerce. Some of the content is applicable to the real world, however her teaching style (especially grading) is at best random. You've heard of teachers picking grades out of a hat? Well, I just can't even figure out how she grades, I guess crazy people can do crazy things.

Isobel Findlay is a very nice person, but BSCM will put you to sleep. The whole BSCM experience for me was dissappointing, mainly because of the degrading marks her TA gave me. I recommend getting as much help as possible in this course or you want have a clue what you are doing.
